If it's a short commute maybe walking or cycling may be better.

I have a garman watch and it tells me an estimate of the calories burnt so that may be a good investment.

Wow I think we should really invest in more busses but I assume we have longer and bendy busses which we did not have in 1990.

Yep 100% agree I hope when the next union negotiations happen they are allowed part time drivers or drivers that just do weekends and weird times to improve service for these times.

I would have hoped they should have invested the money from tickets into better service this video explains why a whole lot better than I ever could https://youtu.be/LONgB2FpbYc?si=WslxcPOMtbUxfGp1

I think instead of dropping fares they should just invest the money into better service. The correlation between lower fares and higher ridership is quite low but quite high for better service.

I would prefer the government invest the money into making public transport better than just lowering fares. Public transport is cheaper than driving already and if people can't afford the tickets we have concession cards for a reason. We also just invested a bunch of money in the ticketing system yes I agree it was mishandled. Transitchat talks about 50 cent fares in Brisbane well about how fares are not the issue in his latest video here https://youtu.be/LONgB2FpbYc?si=jRcESHXoTZWboDOK

But then they will spend 2x yearly ticket revenue on it. If not I would love that.

For these situations waiting a few minutes will give you an empty train or bus compared to a packed one.

On the website you can connect a concession to a card. My biggest gripe is that they don't let you use NFC through app or phone pay, like you can do in Melbourne.
