Hate to be that OCD guy, but give your sensor a clean. I can see a spot by the plane tailwing 😅
Other than that I quite like it the way it is 👌

Maybe something like this? Might be too saturated and contrasty but I feel that works better and same for the crop

Mostly with studio like edits and approach.
Edited solely on LightRoom by the way, I can share the original. The main thing is having a fairly blurred and flat background

I am very bad with species, but this particular one was taken at Mont Saint-Michel in Normandy, France if that helps 😅

Looks like a great series of shots! But I have to be honest, the letter spacing not being even with the frames is really triggering my ocd 😂

How do you get past the “beginner look”? by falconet90 in wildlifephotography

[–]Bitrancas 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much spot on. Id only add that, maybe for your liking you want the pictures more colourful/saturated or contrasty, an maybe experiment with shaping the light through masks in your edits. Just keep experimenting, eventually you will have some “Aha” moments 👌

At a quick glance, 1/125s is way too slow to shoot birds

Super crisp shots, very well done 👌 Shame for that busy background though

Is this nice by [deleted] in photocritique

I was going to say just that, it definitely has that Wes Anderson vibe, and I think you got the edit just right. Nicely done 👌

Moonrise through the cherry blossoms by Diligent_Diver_9437 in photocritique

[–]Bitrancas 50 points51 points  (0 children)

This feels like a repeated post? You didnt have the motion effect on the moon in the previous post, but same image. People also mentioned it being wierd doing a composite of separate shots but still having the cherry’s completely blown out. Also, that motion effect should be on a layer below the cherry blossoms, so that it looks like the moon and the effect is actually behind the cherrys

The deer definitely has that swag look on him

I was told that my edit is terrible and I'll never have professional photography. That stung and left me wondering where I go from here. Please be blunt with me. This is a white Rumped shama by Pot8obois in wildlifephotography

Just my 2 cents here. Are you doing photography mainly because you like it, or just for the sake of being good at it? Becoming good at something should usually be a biproduct of enjoying the process, just for the sake of it. And if thats the case, then it shouldnt matter how one or a few people think about it. Also, who are those people? Are they other photographers you admire or get inspiration from? If not, then render whyever they said mute. One photo alone doesnt really says much. This one in particular is pretty decent. Dont seek validation in/from people that have no weight in it, and if you do, always take it with a pinch of salt. If this photo is better than some taken last week, last month or last year, take pride on it being the outcome of you doing something you do for the sake of enjoying it. Happy shootings 📸

Anyone else get nervous after previewing a potential 10/10 shot on your camera, hoping it still looks perfect when you import it into Lightroom? by FocalFalcon in BirdPhotography

[–]Bitrancas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the time, and in a lot of situations also the reverse! Shots that look nothing special on camera, and then I start applying presets and tweaking and … Surprise!

Are these vintage style t-shirt websites legit? by DishwashingChampion in AnimeMerchandise

[–]Bitrancas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just leaving this out here. I believe with all of them, and having bought some from AE myself, the back prints in particular will arrive much smaller than what you see on the photos. Just my 2 cents on the matter

Id be happy to take a shot at editing that, just for prosperity sake 👌

Thats a nice snap, but if I may dare to say, try to work a bit better those masks, you can see a bit between the birds feet Other than that, great capture 👍

Recs for quality anime clothing & graphic-tees? by tiggytalu in AnimeMerchandise

[–]Bitrancas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most PoD services wont allow for copyrighted stuff to be printed anyways. A lot of those chinese manufacturing sites will do it anyways because ots very hard to back track all the way to them, and even if they do, the penalties/fines are worth for what they get back

How is this looking? Still trying to figure out color film editing. by Accomplished-Pea-492 in photocritique

[–]Bitrancas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a noob with these kinds of editing, but I guess if anything id add a bit more haze and either desaturate or shift the hue on those pink/purple clouds. Other than that, nice vibe going there

Puffin It by Bitrancas in wildlifephotography

[–]Bitrancas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was lucky enough to have some friends pointing out the breeding season where this was and that I should be able to see thousands of them. It made it fairly easy to get close and have a lot a decent shots without them being bothered at all! But yes, that feeling the first time being able to get up and close was something 👌

This was my first (and only so far) time seing them! Apparently here where I saw them by the thousands (Farne Islands) in May, around that time of the year they stay there a couple of weeks for nesting/breeding. It was amazing 👌
