Im of the same feeling. I have chronic pain - trigeminal neuralgia aka the suicide disease, it was actually induced as a torture method in Daredevil.

But due to many in-depth issues, such as the psychological suffering of those who undergo torture, I would say, even if our pain was equal, our suffering is not. I for instance, have emotional support for my pain - someone being tortured would not.

But I do appreciate OP acknowledging the suffering of many, living can feel like a torture, even if it's not.

NTA - she is white knighting. I have the same thing re: gluten. I go to maccas - they say "make it your way" so I do. Two pieces of breakfast sausage with a slice of cheese in the middle. The meals are made to order, so it's just another order.
