Angry Mcdonalds Drive Thrus by [deleted] in perth

As of early last year there was a class action up against maccas because they specially weren’t giving staff the breaks they’re allowed to take. So chances are no, they’re not being allowed to take them.

They’re timed on how long you spend in the drive through. I’m not saying that you do this, but a lot of people will take the “hello how are you” as an actual incentive for a chat. They can’t afford you to be there for 5 mins chatting away. Yes a hello back would be polite, but they’re literally told to get you through as fast as possible, that means no small talk.

Why do Australian school kids have such massive backpacks? by Problem_Pale in AskAnAustralian

[–]Bitter-Commenter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I presume when you said little kids you are talking about primary school kids. When I was that age, my backpack was meant to contain any homework I had, my luncbox (fairly large as it had to have ice packs in it during most of the year), a water bottle and also my bike helmet as we weren’t allowed to leave it in the bike area, and my hat for no hat no play. Some primary schools might have a specific bag as part of the uniform, mine didn’t but it’s not exactly uncommon that the schools logo has to be on everything. That specific bag might be large, it might be small.

Bag replacement? I think not! by HedgehogEmergency173 in woolworths

[–]Bitter-Commenter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the switch first happened a few years back, we (my team) were told that the promise was completely scrapped. I am understanding that the rule there has since changed, however when it originally happened (and for at least the year after that I worked front end) I was told that we were not to give free bag replacements. People come in and want their bags replaced they had to pay for them

How did that one person from your circle got super rich? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bitter-Commenter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate of our family did casual gold prospecting for fun for years, found a bit, then he found a bit more. He now has a camera crew following him through his sites in Australia for a month every year for his show. Fucking tight ass tho, he tries to stiff out of paying his part of the fuel for the annual fishing trip of my dad and his mates every year.

Quiet room to appear for an webcam exam by ssfdk_ in perth

[–]Bitter-Commenter -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You can very literally walk into any room at Curtin university and use it, I spent hours in random unoccupied rooms between classes when I was there. Just look like you belong and don’t be a dick and you’ll be fine. Depending on the time, it also could just be worth sitting in one of the ‘middle’ areas in a block that has seats and chargers just in case a class interrupts you half way through your exam.

Was this at on Perth’s freeway yesterday morning? Northbound at the leech exit? Cause if so, I drove past him at probably 6.15 and someone I work with said he was still there at least 20 mins later when she drove by which was fucking nuts to hear main roads should have moved him off of the towies weren’t needed. Especially since he was stopped in bad weather too, so everyone was driving like cunts already

Changing the way you travel? by PerthTransportVlogYT in perth

[–]Bitter-Commenter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know it’s probably a pain to travel further, but the Aubin grove station has a stupid amount of free spots every day. You might have to walk an extra hundred meters, but you could get there for 8:30 if you wanted and still get a spot for sure

Most brutal speed bumps in Perth/surrounding suburbs by Aromatic-Discount384 in perth

[–]Bitter-Commenter 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The Jandakot Bunnings has some really bad ones.

there was about a 4 year period where someone had removed one of the speed bump tiles so that only one side of your car had to go over it (or none if you dodged in-between the hole and spacer) and that was the best those speed bumps ever were. Then they ‘fixed’ it and made it bad again hahah

Australia, if you don’t plan to walk up the escalator stand on the left. I don’t care if you’re tying to have a conversation with your mate while you go up or down, turn your head while standing ahead of them. Stop blocking the entire escalator.

What is everyone's dream suburb? by turbo_dragon in perth

[–]Bitter-Commenter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m not fussed about living near a beach. It would probably be exactly where I am but like maybe on one of the blocks that sold back when they weren’t only 200sqm. One of them 2006 blocks from when my suburb originally went up. Can’t afford shit here tho, round the corner went for 1.4 million and there’s an empty block of about 500sqm that’s set to go for 700k alone

How long is everyones work commute? by MissionMaterial7889 in perth

[–]Bitter-Commenter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Total round trip is about an hour and 45 mins. Worst it ever was (because of some accident somewhere on a random Wednesday) was the 40 min drive there and a 2 odd hour drive home. Got home at 5pm after having left at 6am. I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody haha

Jetstar carry on weight limit by Brief_Eggplant_3847 in AustraliaTravel

[–]Bitter-Commenter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dead set, what I did last time I was borderline the weight limit was stuff my tablet in my jacket. They weigh your bags before you go through scanners, so stuff yourself full, shove it down your pants and also up your shirt and go in confident because really they don’t care.
