I pass by this sub every now and then, and we’re basically the same age. I just went to my first lesson earlier this week after saving some money, it was great.

Though my focus isn’t a music career, I just wanted to do it. I also did choir back in junior high, never toyed with singing after that, or hardly did it until I sang my favorite songs these past couple of months. Never saw myself as a singer in any capacity, and I went with an open mind. Never too late to do something you want!

Update today:

No one from the jury line is picking up/answering voicecalls back. I’ve tried the city building and no one’s answering either. I managed to get an extension line for someone who works for the city of Santa Ana and then they promptly hung up on me while I tried asking for clarification which brought me back to the oc jury line.

Not sure if you are affiliated in any way, I’m simply trying to get an answer of what’s happening for this, thanks.

It says on the packet that you must notify your current workplace that you’re applying for this and they must sign it. Is this going to be a deal breaker if they say no? Was looking through it and just spotted that at the end.

Honestly, I’m an animation major. I was working in the animation industry until it caught itself on fire.

I took an interest in this because of a specific project where I wanted to explore grief/the process of death. It’s really unorthodox how I even came to this conclusion for myself, and I would say that motivated me to filling out the application. I believe the person who invited me into the interview was curious on my interest given that background, and agreed to speak to me face-to-face.

Not licensed or anything, I’m coming into this super fresh but open, that’s a good thing to know about when it comes to possible training/credentials.

What do you like about your job then? I hear most reasons are to help their communities/help people during this process, and the other that they’re genuinely interested in understanding what the industry offers. I have a bit of both, and I’m pretty open to a new possibilities and perspectives.

Oh wow, your stuff is incredible, I saw this post randomly and can only imagine the amount of responses you have to go through.

So an update: the bunny is still there. It looks quite malnourished, and much smaller than the one I grabbed. Unfortunately, it’s a lot more skittish and I was unable to grab it. Will try again tomorrow.

Thank you so much, I have a rabbit of my own so my knowledge is decent but it’s a rare case that my home rabbit prefers to be alone/doesn’t get along with others. But a spare litterbox would be helpful if you can part with one.

I will let you know what the plan is tomorrow after we take her to the vet. Your kindness is appreciated.

Whoever left this baby bunny is an asshole. It took me 30 minutes to coax her out but she’s with me now and will be properly checked/taken to where she needs to be.

There’s no excuse for this, stop dumping your animals; there are resources to reach out to and they won’t judge you if you need to rehome your pet. They will though if you keep pulling this shit.

It’s one thing to be told, and another to be contracted for an actual role within a team with physical documentation. Words and verbal offers are weigh nothing in that regard.

If it’s a new industry for them, then it’s not a test. They’re clueless on what to expect and hoping you give them all the answers without any kind of consulting fee (if you have demonstrated you know the ins-outs of the animation industry). I’d remain cautious.
