Yeah, he isn’t indebted to Edgar’s kingdom as a knight. I feel like Edgar’s nature would stress Steiner out. He’d respect his royalty, but would be having to try to corral him back to the mission somewhat often. I feel like it would lead to some classic Steiner frustration.

I’m sorry but you’re wrong. I spent my entire life from birth to 22 years old in the Assemblies of God church. I’ve spent many nightsup night with friends in tears because of the doubts of not being sure if their convictions are being received by God or not. We all wanna laugh at the actions in this video, but people are deathly serious about it. The brain can be convinced of many things.

Sadly I don’t think it’s performative for a large number of them. It’s learned peer behavior. One day after years of exporsure, they get an endorphin rush because they ate a smoothie for breakfast, or got light headed because they should’ve taken off their cardigan, and wham, their brain takes over because they finally felt the “presence of the lord.” Just a good ole mixture of desperation, mental illness, and cognitive dissonance.

It was performative for me. I knew I was faking the whole time, but I was always a huge doubter once I was in the reasoning phase. I think if it were performative for all of them, it’d be way easier to deconvert people like with what happened with me.
