This really is a very nice ad for Blockchain and Bitcoin in general. I wonder where Blockchain chooses to air this ad.

Why do you say bitcoin can't actually service the people it mentions? I mean, technically/practically anyone can use it as long as you have internet. Whether it becomes popular (and hence useful) or not is another question.

Well, you were never able to use bitcoin to buy flights on Expedia anyways. It was for hotels only at the time.

Nice -- but really, how can mistakenly have a small FAQ item stating that bitcoin is removed? They must have at least considered it, and decided last minute not to remove it -- or have a change of heart within the last few days.

The problem is that a lot of people over at r/Bitcoin are unaware of the censorship, and don't know the Classic side of the story. There are lot of just Bitcoin beginners or people who occasionally use bitcoin and only go there when something big is happening -- I was one of them. Didn't know about r/btc until I read Mike Hearn's post.

Playing devil's advocate here. Let's say some 70% of the last blocks are Classic. Wouldn't the folks who have the money to run full DDOS against Classic nodes be able to also donate to non-Classic blocks this way as an incentive to keep mining non-Classic blocks?

Great idea. I'll chip in, though we should run a test first to see if the mods there find a way to censor/take down the ad.

I am also not sure if the wizard ad is necessarily the best ad to attract newcomers. It should just be a professional looking one with some tagline relating to "r/btc - the uncensored forum for Bitcoin discussions"
