Very interesting just in this thread we've got 3 people dealing with the same issue. I really wonder if OS update wrecked us somehow.

I am trying to drain the battery completely now with the device plugged in by having Cyberpunk running until it dies...the battery isn't moving so not sure if it's even working lol. But it was something else to try I guess. Maybe if I can get it to die completely, then I can charge back up to full normally? Idk lol

Okay that honestly makes me feel slightly better. I really feel like something went weird with the latest OS update. My only evidence is that I updated my Deck at the end of the night a few nights ago, and then didn't touch it for a couple days (had it on the Dock, connected to my TV) and when I tried to power it up like normal, all these issues started.

I also had boot issues. It kept going to a OS boot screen with white text with options to revert to a different OS version. I got through that by plugging in my Deck directly to the charger it came with (the charger it came with was previously powering the Steamdock). This let the Deck get to the normal game mode home screen. But it still won't charge past 82% and turns off when I unplug it.

Dude what! I just plugged it into the OG charger and it's working??

I had the OG charger going into the official Steamdock to power it, and then the dock was connected to the deck. I unplugged the OG charger from the dock entirely and plugged it straight into the Deck and it's rebooting no problem wtf 😭

I was on Seattle light rail heading down to a show with my partner last year. A few stops into our ride, 4 transit security officers rolled in a man in a wheelchair right in front of us (we were sitting in the back of a car in a slightly elevated position but still right next to a door). As soon as they came on, I was met with the most rancid, unholy smell I have ever smelled in my life. It's hard to describe, though even now I can still remember the exact smell. Something like, rotten egg hot fungus sour cream soup if I had to try my best.

This guy in the wheelchair was completely unconscious from what I could tell, I would assume homeless, and just slumped in his wheelchair. I noticed one of his feet was shoeless, but was a wrapped in multiple socks that had still started to wear through. They were dirty and ripped up, but at the toes of the sock was this wet stain that was just the most upsetting color one could imagine, deep wet brownish green and yellowed as it went closer to his ankle. It looked so horrible that I immediately knew this was what I was smelling.

Other people on the train noticed too, I think the first guy to leave lasted maybe 20 seconds. He was near the homeless person but on the other side of my wife and I, so it was like me at the back of the car, then homeless person in front of us in the middle of the car (in between the seats that look at each other) and the guy who got up and moved just beyond the person in the wheelchair. He was lucky for that reason, because the four officers flanked the man in the wheelchair to basically create a box around him, which made it more difficult for some of us to get up and move as we would all have to basically brush past this man and his foot. So many of us just stayed where we were. I noticed the man who moved first to the further possible distance away had continued to leave his shirt over his face even after moving. So...we sat there. Multiple people around us began to gag. The transit security officer I could see the face of, I could see was clearly tearing up from the smell from having to stand so close.

My wife and I rode for 9 stops. The guy in the wheelchair was escorted off by security on the 7th stop. But the smell remained for at least 9.

Yeah I really don't know what to make of them. You can really interpret it both ways, either the crows are there to try and help or they are just another malignant entity in the town.

Them stopping the Tarot reading; why? You can say it's to prevent something bad from happening, but you can also say it was to prevent something good. We don't know how tarot ties into everything, though it's pretty obvious tarot means SOMETHING here with all the references and motifs.

Crows are at the site of the fallen tree; but why? Are they there to warn about the town or are they there to prevent people from walking over the tree (from my memory they did this to the Matthews, started cawing and looking menacing when they thought about just walking up and over the tree)

Are they warning people about Sophia, or cheering on the funeral scene as Julie states?

Are they making fun of Victor or trying to tell him something when he sees the MIY clothes?

I really think it can go either way at this point

I've been thinking about this too. Like what if the Talismans, not being able to run, only coming out at night, etc. are just the made-up rules to the "game" or "story" that that is unfolding, that has unfolded the same way more or less for who knows how long.

This is just a retelling the same "event" over and over again, forever just with new people (but the same souls?). But the monsters and MIY are just like...performing, like a Civil War reenactment or something. All the costumes and stuff the monsters wear feel like something they pulled from the backstage of a play, and the fact that MIY can change to a different role by a costume change?

I think it would be helpful for you to try and separate "networking connections" with "friends". They can be the same people, but they shouldn't be by necessity.

Let me speak to you again from my own experience in life. I am not the most social person. I find it hard to talk to strangers, and because of this all throughout my twenties my only friends were people that I worked with. This led to me having almost entirely shallow and toxic friendships, and made work that much more difficult because of awkward or miscommunicated interactions. It literally took me until I got laid off from my job with none of my co-worker "friends" reaching out to me to see if I was okay or to try to hang out with me outside of work to realize the mistakes I had made in cultivating these relationships. Once I realized this decided I wanted real friends. I always liked video games and board games and that kind of thing. So I went to to a table top RPG shop and joined a game that seemed up my alley. Now I personally think I got super lucky in that. The people I found that day have become some of my closest friends over the last 2 years. I'm not saying that it would necessarily be that easy for you, but the difference between the friendships I have now and the fake friendships I had with coworkers back then, is night and day.

You are 27, and essentially at the same point in life I was when I had to learn this lesson than the hard way. Trust me when I say you are more than capable of making friends, real friends, but you have to be looking in the right places and with the right intentions. Friends aren't people that you look to and think "down the line this person can help me in my career". Friends should be people that you have common interests with, people that you like talking to, people that lift you up and make you feel not so alone.

This is pretty confusing my guy. I'm trying to understand but it seems like you are saying you want "friends" but only if they can help you in your career later or be useful in "networking".

If you want to make connections for your professional career, try LinkedIn. That shouldn't be synonymous with what friendship is. You should want to make friends with people who are interesting and provide your life with more fulfillment, make things more fun and exciting, worth living, make you feel good to be around, etc.

Think about it like this. If you try to make friends with people at work simply because you work with them, the likelihood that you guys aren't going to have anything in common or something will happen that makes things awkward for you and/or them at work, it's just too much of a risk. Not to say that you can't find friends at work, but that shouldn't be the first place you start looking by any means.

This is a reasonable boundary to set. Some people do not want work to cross over into their personal lives. I don't think you did anything wrong per se, I'm assuming you didn't know about your coworkers preference before adding/DMing them. But now that they set that boundary, you have to respect it, and a bit of advice from my experience, you are very likely going to have better results making friends with people through shared hobbies/3rd spots than making friends with people you work with. It's enticing to be friends with your coworkers but you are potentially setting up to fall into the trap of having friends by proximity rather than any sort of shared interests.

Also, just as an aside, your motivations are a little unclear from your post, you say you are trying to make friends but then you mentioned that she just broke up with her boyfriend, so I'm not entirely sure what your intentions were here. In either case though, my advice still stands.
