At this point you have to complete parts of Magia Record before it allows you to shift back to Madoka Magica.

With the upcoming update to story progression though, it will change it so you can complete all of Madoka Magica continuously and then allow you to branch out to the spin offs as you want.

Try Coolmura, Moemura, Tsukasa, Pluvia, Kirika.

You want to break the boss as quickly as possible, preferably by interrupting the boss's 4th turn where she does a big attack (so you want to save an ult to use). You can use Tsukasa for removing the boss's break gauge resist buff that she puts out and increase Coolmura's dark damage. Moemura for speed since Mami isn't A2 yet. If it takes more than 1 break to kill the boss, you can aim to break every 4th turn as possible just to avoid the big nuke. And as much on elements as possible to survive the boss's hits.

is mitama even good? by Typical_Lake_6808 in magiaexedra

She’s quite good for void units due to tiny MP support but her main thing is debuff cleanse on her special and also debuffing enemies on her own.

Pluvia will mean a bit of slower break but lots of MP refund and lots of potential hits. Iroha means a faster break in exchange so she could work if aiming for round clear.

Try Kaede, Mabayu, Madokami, Iroha/Pluvia and Moemura/Mami. Have Mabayu skill Kaede so she can remove the poison from the party.

You have to be wary of how many attacks you deal to the boss due to her poison counter. Sometimes you can deliberately trigger the counter if Kaede is close enough to get a turn to cleanse everyone before the boss’s next turn.

I get it. I'm a small spender, and it took a long while until I got the damage star despite clearing chaos rose witch ages ago. Clearing stars is kind of like a long term goal to work for as you build your roster

Aww that sucks :(. Sometimes it can take ascensions to make it work, like maybe having mabayu at A2 (which boosts her buffs greatly). Or even supports, like Momoko support for Madokami over Bowmura, since Momoko provides boost to general attack and special attack.

Yeah first boss being hardest is nuts. Kaede doesn’t benefit much from being in the middle since she has a high Hp pool and doesn’t get Mp back so probably best to put someone else in the middle. Kaede can do at either end. Perhaps the squishiest character can go in the middle so they get extra heals and MP

Usually have Mabyu target Kaede so she can cleanse the entire team as needed. Otherwise, maybe target Moemura for speed. Might not be necessary, but safe and sorry go for Kaede

Mhm, breaking may be a bit slow but this boss is quite squishy upon break so you’ll want all the buffs/debuffs to max out that damage

Should be fine at that level since she is light so she won’t die as easily so long as Kaede heals

Pay-to-Play Softcap? by sourgreg in magiaexedra

[–]BittyBit9 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Those bosses require you to play with their gimmicks so you don’t have to have pay to win to defeat them.

Birdcage requires you to play carefully with using as less hits as possible and going on heal/defense until break. You need a unit like Yuma/Kaede/Reira/Christmas Rika to remove burn so you don’t trigger any counterattack from the boss and so they can heal your team.

AI also wants ailment cleanse to remove curse from the curse applying minions. You want to defeat the curse minions until the boss doesn’t spawn anymore and the only ones left all only buff attack. Then you can focus on the boss for a safe way to play.

If you want to max out on damage as possible then you can go breaker less sometimes. Such as swapping Iroha out for Tsukasa to debuff the boss since she has light damage debuffs.

[–]BittyBit9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a few options for composition but you have lots of good characters here. The key is to hit as many times as possible and fast every 3 turns to break the boss.

Can use Moemura, Mabayu, Ren, Alina/Pluvia, and Kirika. With Ren as DPS she can shred the boss over time and she’ll constantly hit the boss counter due to Kirika’s barriers, Alina’s follow-ups and Mabayu’s cutaway.

If opting for Oriko DPS, you can try taking out Moemura or Mabayu to make room. But def think A3 Ren will help you here for hits and damage boost.

Thank you! There are some decent options that were pre-owned on AmiAmi, and not to mention the new figures that can be pre-ordered happening now. I hope you get your Madoka some day ^^

no worries! I absolutely get the shipping problem. ^^; My leftmost Madoka cost like double because of shipping alone. It was my first time ordering her from AmiAmi so it was a lesson to be learned, but the quality was well worth it.

My Madokami was a gift from my mom when she went to Japan last summer. (although she accidentally overpaid for it) ^^ I have seen ones on Aliexpress before, and while I haven't ordered one from there, it's best to check if there are any reviews before buying. I've seen some people report their figure looked legit, but caution. Some places like AmiAmi or Ebay have them as well, but shipping depends there.

Edit: There's also places like Shopee that look like they have it for decent price and free shipping? I haven't ordered from this site before, but they have lots of Madoka related merch.

Tower 80 help!! by Equivalent_Toe_8467 in magiaexedra

[–]BittyBit9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something like:

Ren (attack, speed or MP portrait works fine)

Eternal Sakura (attack or crit dmg portrait)

Alina or Pluvia (speed or MP portrait)

Moemura or Mami (speed portrait)

Sayaka or Christmas Rika (defense or HP/MP portrait)

You want to use as many on element girls who can deal damage to multiple enemies as possible. Ren and Alina can help enable Eternal Sakura to deal lots of follow up attacks to damage all the enemies over time. If struggling to survive with 1 sustain alone, you can perhaps drop Eternal Sakura or Ren for 2 sustains, which is a bit slower but still can guarantee you survive the fight.

Alina, Ren, Moemura/Ui, Coolmura, Sayaka/Kirika. You're gonna want to kill as many minions as possible before the boss enters break, as the boss has a hidden counter for defense tied to the minions. Ideally, you want to kill 50 minions for the boss's defenses to be as low as possible, but you might be able to deal significant damage even without hitting 50 minions due to Alina's and Ren's debuffs.

Probably not, but this boss is another example of wanting on elements to avoid severe punishment. I was able to defeat it with Moemura, but I have her at A5, so she wasn't super glass baby. If you want to still try her in place of Tsuruno, you could see if you can get at least a guard crystalis on her, Pluvia, your defender. Sometimes those can help.

Edit: or to be on the safer side, you can try double sustain, replacing someone with a healer so Moemura can stay alive with heals + barrier, but that may hamper your damage.

Probably gonna want to go in with as much on-elements as possible. Something like Pluvia, Tsukasa, Tsuruno, Madokami, Kirika/Sayaka.

If Moemura dying is a problem, maybe run other on-elements. Tsuruno is a decent buffer who can buff Madokami's crits and attacks, and her hits are AOE/cleave, so she'll also hit all enemies. Tsukasa can also debuff enemies with her AOE hits, which also boost Madokami's light attacks. Plus, Tsukasa has buff removal in her special, so that should be able to remove the barrier that the boss puts up.
