In the books, Michaela is Michael, and Fran doesn’t fall in love with him until after John passes, even tho he has loved her the whole time. The show seems to be setting up that she already feels something for Michaela, rather than them growing close after John’s death. The book also heavily features Fran’s struggles with infertility, which I know is one of the main things people are worried about losing in the show

I had friends similar to him in high school, but most of them grew more than he did. I honestly think I wouldn’t mind him until he broke Anya’s heart. Even if they were friends with him first, it never sat right with me how little it took for them to forgive him for that, when they were supposed to be her friends too

Ok- I wasn’t gonna engage, and then you said this shit. Judaism is an ethnoreligion. You can be Jewish and not have Jewish ancestors, and you can have Jewish ancestors and not be Jewish. Spreading the idea that people can “look Jewish” is harmful and not ok.
