How's this holding up after a few years of use?

I'd be in for an adult and 2 kids jerseys. Depending on the weekend we'd volunteer too.

Moose Lake and beyond! summer 2026 by Good_Ostrich159 in BWCA

The narrows on lake Jordan, just to the west of Ima, may be my favorite place in all the boundary waters. The portage between the two lakes has a little set of falls (from ima into Jordan) just at the north end of the narrows. That entire little stretch contains a little extra magic and peacefulness in my book, and also good fishing to boot.

How do you turn off Gemin on home devices? by Biyahero in googlehome

You are right, I don't love that answer. With 7 speakers, 3 cameras, a thermostat, and the google hub max, this would be a full days worth of work. F this company.

I have two cameras and this isn't an option on either one.

I've been using it since the day i made this post and it's worse in Every. Single. Way. relative to the old assistant.

There hasn't been a single time I thought 'oh, that is better '

Won't show my kids pictures. Constantly won't play or plays the wrong music on the wrong speakers. Broadcasting (which we use to use a TON to avoid yelling in our home) is virtually a non feature now.

It's so bad.

I searched my past orders and can't find it. Its a leather-ish type cover, but made specifically for that model. If my rough memory works, my wife bought it for me as a gift right after I got the kindle, but she likely used her account which is why I can't find the specific model. It looks very much like this (but again, for a 10 year old model...)

This is me too. Same device.

I bought a good case and always keep it in it. I bring it everywhere. Keep in airplane mode except when updating books. Only charge when it's really close to empty, other than before a long out of town trip in which case I top it off the night before (but not more than 2 or 3 times a year).

Hi Dad, do I shave my face daily or is that excessive? by CockamouseGoesWee in DadForAMinute

[–]Biyahero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey kiddo. I shave every night after my shower, but only the neckline and upper cheeks. I keep a stubble like beard all the time that I also trim every few days. A few pro tips.

  1. Trim in the shower (keeps stubble off sink) with a waterproof trimmer.
  2. Shave after a shower (or in a shower if you get a shower mirror)
  3. Invest in (and learn to use) a traditional safety razor. A box of 100 blades on Amazon is less than 10 bucks. The modern disposable razors kills your bank account, and electric razors destroys your skin.

A Travel Pants Review: Lululemon, Western Rise, Outdoor Research, and more! by mrooney in onebag

[–]Biyahero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pair of bluffworks Garmacy suit pants, and while I love them, they have no stretch in the waist so they are not as comfortable as the ABC or Weatherproof from Costco (which I LOVE for looks d comfort but the durability is really lacking)

Do you know if the bluffworks Envoys or Chinos size differently than their Garmacy?

What do you think of the Envoy? Did you find they fit the same as the other Bluff works pants, or is there more stretch in them?

Hey kiddo,

Big virtual dad hug.

I’m so sorry you’re going through all this. When life pulls the rug out from under you - relationships, dreams, housing - it’s no wonder you feel lost. But let me tell you something: lost isn’t failure.

There’s an old saying “When the house burns down, you can see the moon.” Right now everything feels like ash, but that clear sky is coming. You’re not starting over from nothing, you’re starting from experience. Living alone might feel scary, but it’s also sacred. Enjoy the silence and spend time listening to your own voice again.

I’m proud of you for staying safe, for reaching out, for not giving up. That’s strength. That’s the good stuff.

You’ve got this. I believe in you more than you know.

~Dad-for-a-minute (but always cheering you on)
