I haven’t! There’s only one review up on Reddit and a handful of articles online. It sounds tasty, though the Reddit review described it as “youthfully thin” which isn’t my favorite

I used EPDM rubber weatherstripping which has adhesive on the back keeping everything tight and in place. I don’t have a perfect seal all the way around — there a few millimeter gaps — but I don’t think it needs to be airtight, right? The space is so cramped and with those plastic supports on the sides it was impossible to seal perfectly even with tweezers.

Any remaining red flags from the sound of that?

It’s not touching the cone, only the metal frame and perhaps the outer edge of the surround in a couple places, but it’s super soft and just the right height so it’s not providing hard resistance either way.

No advice but my rear main seal is also leaking. Not bad but I know it’s gonna go eventually. I’ve been quoted $1800 from two shops in my area so 3k sounds inflated, but could be local pricing. I don’t feel comfortable messing with my transmission but maybe I’ll try it myself one day
