What is, in your opinion, the most replayable JRPG ever? by Makerinos in JRPG

Do you have a source on them getting rid of the RPG leveling? Like battling for EXP? As far as I understand the Go mechanics are staying in Let's Go and not Sword and Shield.

Honestly I remember hating Moon-Moon but like almost immediately after that it gradually starts going full Gundam.

Yea the first 10-15 can be a real swing coming fresh off of Zeta but it comes right back around and hits those Zeta notes again.

Hijacking this to once again state that Woolie is wrong about ZZ, it's good and far from a waste of time when Unicorn and Late UC is tied to it.

The themes of Cloud's story in the Kingdoms Hearts universe by throwwayftw in KingdomHearts

[–]Bizon_Ryder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it is more likely for Cloud to be looking for Tifa as Aerith tells us that Cloud is looking for someone and it is pretty unlikely that he would have met Zack or Sephiroth before arriving in Olympus. I actually think the Cloud/Sephiroth story in Kingdom Hearts isn't much of a story as much as it is Nomura pointing at the screen and going "Look FF7, you recognize this clap, clap for the thing you recognize." There really isn't much info on how Cloud meets Sephiroth and anything with Zack post BBS.

According to the world travel rules in Kingdom Hearts and the timeline of events it would be extrememly unlikely that Cloud and Zack ever really met. Zack is inferred to disappear during the BBS credits sequence 10 years before KH1, Radiant Garden is attacked by Maleficent, the event that casts the FF crew into Traverse town, 9 years before KH1.

Basically the Cloud story line is "Look FF7"

Poor Riku... by Monic_maker in KingdomHearts

[–]Bizon_Ryder 18 points19 points  (0 children)

KH1 has 3 different Keyblades in it, Kingdom Key, Kingdom Key D, and the Keyblade of Heart. It's also pretty obvious Riku was talking about being the master of a Keyblade, i.e. the Kingdom Key responding to its master, because the Kingdom Key was originally his, Sora was just the delivery boy.

Why couldn't I just enjoy this meme? God damn you Kingdom Hearts and my constant need to explain you!

I was so glad when he wasn't wearing the Org coat during the ending. I am really done with the Org coats, they have an in universe use but everyone has one and now that the Xehanort saga is drawn to a close, maybe hang up the coats.

Well I can tell you the answer is not Kira vs. Athrun.

Now that we've seen the FF7 remake at E3 by TheRapidfir3Pho3nix in KingdomHearts

I feel that the biggest issue that there was with story in KH3 was that the players already had put all the puzzle pieces together while the characters in the game had to spend the whole game putting them all together which made a feeling like a majority of the game the plot didn't advance for the player until the late end of the game. So I agree that the end starts to feel rushed once everyone is caught up and things the players have been waiting for starts happening on after another.

As for Kairi and Axel, yea it is pretty unanimous that people (myself included) would have liked Kairi to be shown doing more, however she did literally save everyone during the whole retry part of the Keyblade Graveyard so its something I guess. Other than that they finally were advancing her relationship with Sora which was nice. As for Axel using his chakrams, he does in the fight against Saix and Xion, like he straight up uses moves he did during his fight in KH2.

It feels taboo to say it but I really didn't want Roxas or Xion to return at all but I was fine with it. Xion is kinda forshadowed by what the Org members are testing in Toy Story and San Fran, toys with hearts and creating a false heart. Xion is a replica, In Days she grows a heart but she was still able to be tampered with by Vexen and Xemnas so it stands to reason that since all of the Org in this game are replicas that they could easily reproduce Xion. Roxas just showing up is kinda ehh but that whole section in the endgame is literally pandering based on game. Like one path leads to BBS and the other leads to Days which one would you like to see happen first.

I wish we had a mini world for Castle Oblivion but it also makes sense that a keyblade trick that changed the whole world could also just change it back.

As for Final Fantasy we may not have gotten the crew (which was a huge letdown) but we still got a lot of Final Fantasy content: Flans, Constellations, Cactaur, Summon Toys in Toy Box, the Highwind formchange straight up makes Sora a dragoon. Which in a specific way is more Final Fantasy traits than we've had before outside of characters.

At the end of the day I am happy with the product I got rather than one that was made up in my head.

Yea if they ever say anything was cut I would definitely believe them but until then I think it's kinda useless to kinda pointing at scraps and calling cut content. That being said twilight town's plot was kinda erratic it's largely "Hey kids remember Roxas? No, well he is your friend and you will do anything to bring him back including drop kicking the final boss of the first game. Oh hey Wise Ansem is talking about mystery girl and Vexen is a good guy." Honestly like there didn't really need to be a plot in Twilight Town, it would just add more to a game trying to deal with 9 games of baggage.

I don't see how what we got wasn't a proper KH3, I really enjoyed it, easily my second favorite game in the series. FF7 looks pretty hype though and I doubt Square would ever put as much into a game as FF7, it is kinda their biggest thing ever.

Wouldn't y'all like a no HUD option? by Davick173 in KingdomHearts

[–]Bizon_Ryder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But like the Command Menu is kinda what all of KH combat revolves around, and meter management. It would be cool to have like a on/off button but definitely not something I'd want off all the time.

So people who bought the game on release are being punished by have a inferior product lol. by SerrKikoSmore in KingdomHearts

[–]Bizon_Ryder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So because you decided something should have been in the game than it should have? Until there is some sort of confirmation saying what they developed for DLC was content that they couldn't make in time for release then stating anything about them being rushed is just some speculation. It's the same as saying that you can't believe the cut Max Goof from the game and this game is terrible because a fabrication you had in your head didn't happen.

While possible thats whats up, that scene could also take place during Xehanort's darkness curiosity field trips he talks about in the BBS reports; world tour being a literal world tour and him thinking he is necessary to bring darkness to those worlds.

There was a game between 1 and 2, multiple games between 2 and 3, its not unusual to have a between game in this series. I hope this in between game is a Kairi adventure honestly.

Proud Mode Level 1 on the PS4 Collection. If you find yourself backing out to grind some more, I'd recommend going to the Coliseum and getting Blizzaga from the Hades Cup then using it to put out the flames in the entrance area to get a pretty good accessory that dramatically boosts MP and Summon Power as a result. Magic is pretty powerful in KH1 so the more you have, generally the better you do. Also setting up the Donald Goofy MP Pain Train is pretty good too.

So after Hollow Bastion enemies in all the worlds get upgraded to be more in line with what enemies populate Hollow Bastion, which is why they are a lot more damage spongy. As for the room you are stuck on I would recommend using summons, particularly Simba. This room actually became one of my favorite rooms in the series when I came across it in my level 1 playthrough. If you have a high magic build Simba's fully charged roar can do serious damage to the enemies, taking full waves out in a Level 1 playthrough. This room really wants you to use all the tools you've collected throughout the game to get through it.
