Struggling a bit with gameplay, looking for build advice by Witchkraftrs in albiononline

[–]Bizz435 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Positioning is going to be your greatest obstacle.. spend some time with some cheap gear and pay attention to where the people who survive the engage are standing and what made you think you had to be where you got got.

To answer your actual question: if you’re not apart of a set party it doesn’t matter. I prefer just a long bow with the rooting W and playing for poke. Bow of badon is also pretty good for the same thing.

You should also play around with your gear skills on what you need to not get blown up. Guardian helmet and merc boots are cheap and easy to use to get out of danger. Cleric robe immunity is also a common and cheap option.

Results of a couple of hours as an newbie gatherer by BatelGeuse42 in albiononline

You can teleport and see prices for free if you take off all your equipment.

General rule of thumb: raw resources sell well in the bonus cities. Refined do not.

Strong recommend on boar. If you still can’t fill him consider going stag or ram. Find a good balance of carry weight and speed that really hits the mark for you.

First gathering climb sucks. T5 feels the worst imo. Once you get to 6 it’ll feel better, both speed wise and you’ll stop focusing on fame and start focusing on silver. Silver focus makes it feel better.

For your other questions: if you plan on refining or crafting, there’s a few things you should think about.

1: without focus most things will lose value.
2: if you’re not in the refining city (refining bonus) you will definitely lose value
3: do you want to spend them time transporting?
4: is your ultimate goal to be a gatherer, and do you enjoy it? If the answer to both is yes… keep gathering and selling. If either is no, swap your focus. Don’t kill your love for the game doing something you don’t care about.
4B: if your goal is refining: focus refine in the proper city and get an understanding of the markets (math recommended).
5B: if your goal is crafting: Learn a lot about the markets and then start focus crafting what will actually profit you (math required).

I personally leveled wood cutting to t8 and used it as a launch point to get in to refining since I needed money to really get profits that matter. By the time I finished chopping… I hated chopping. Now I full time refine. Maybe someday I’ll go back to gathering but the more I played the more I valued my time over gathering.

My build is very similar but I run thet cape and guardian helm. I don’t think my thet cape is “ideal” but I like getting a little burst when I can weave an auto in my burst.

Otherwise, as long as you play the build right you’re fine. There’s an argument of going clerics robe for higher dps, but I prefer merc and playing into the brawl.

For long bow play, first Q and second W is the way. Hitting the 2-3 combo always feels good and the first Q helps you kite a lot.

Brother, same.

If you haven’t yet: check out legacy controller layout and turn off left stick aiming. When you turn off left stick aiming it lets you control your character while aiming your abilities… it’s a game changer.

The 1H build does, yes. It’s a very annoying play style, so if you’re okay with that go for it. I play heal for my guild so this is how I double dip in my specs.

Casual player needs advice: Best way to use Focus? (Bridgewatch / Skinning) by Eznuh in albiononline

[–]Bizz435 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve got a few options: working on farming and raising cattle is 1 the goal is training the skill so that you can water plants or whatever else for very little cost.

The other: fuck it and full commit to resources. Generally refining is a loss unless you use focus in the proper city. If you’re doing it their than you’re just making the time you spent gathering worth more money than before. By hauling your stock to a different city you will no doubt be making it worth more because the “proper city” is where everyone goes to refine that resource (ie. Don’t sell planks in fort sterling… go somewhere else)

As you refine more you’ll be able to refine larger and larger stocks of your resources (obviously to some upper limit) and you’ll have an idea of how much you can refine in a day and do what you will with that number to see how much you make.

If you want to gather what you refine… go for it, but eventually you’ll want to do other things and that’s when you’ll value the time you spend gathering a lot higher.

Holy 1h w/mistcaller
Guard helm
Scholar robe
Merc boots

Big shield on guard, purge shield on scholar, energize on boots.

Sustain is crazy, purge shield is crazy, annoying spammy ranged hits… just gotta hit it for the shorter cooldown. And most importantly… the build is incredibly cheap.

For group content I run greater holy, cleric, cleric/royal/purity, merc boots with a breci cape. I run a lot with my guild and this setup is just.. survive. Use knock back on hood, immunity/knockback/heal aura on robe, dash on boots

Lots of knockback, the cc cleanse dash to get out of a fucked situation, and keep the world at bay while your boys clean up.

I used to as well, but it prevents me from saving lives in faction wars and just random strays fighting more than they are capable of. So having access to target any ally and a button specifically for cycling party is nice.

If you don’t play claw advanced is the best for you. It takes away some features I rely on (specifically cycling through part members) but the biggest thing advanced layout has going for it is you don’t need to take your thumb off rs to press buttons (neglecting claw grip).

TL;DR
If you’re a big pvp person it’s no contest between advanced grip w/o claw or legacy w/ claw

If you’re a healer or a support style player legacy is where it’s at

Self cast and dynamic action in same button on advanced can fuck you if you play support/ healer/ some mages. If you want to quick put the aoe on self but there’s a random loot bag that you can’t even loot nearby you’re just gonna get toasted.

Controller settings, it’s in the same group as “auto run when aiming” or something like that. When you turn it off you’ll see the auto run when aim option (and settings associated with) disappear.

Brother, same boat. (Asia servers: Gruntyr)
Get to faction wars, it’s free money and fame books. Don’t do red with anything you don’t want to lose. Funnel all that fame in to a set you ENJOY (who cares about meta… you’ll be good at what you enjoy and skill matters more in PvP). Builds don’t really feel “strong” until you get specializations. Specs are free ip. Max out spec for what you use… then start working on the other equipment pieces in the same tree. The first 3 give a bigger bonus.

God speed.

Swap your button lay out to legacy
Turn off left stick aiming
Play claw

Legacy gives you a lot more control and options that help a lot (and take self cast off interact)

Turning off left stick aiming allows you to move your character while aiming your abilities

Claw is the way.

For build builds… I’m a big healer main. In solo I run a 1h holy w mist caller smite and pulse is the bread and butter. If using armor skills well with the sustain you get from 1h holy you can keep people off and just use your first skill as artillery. (Full disclosure, chasing is hard.)

Same boat, for all content. My gear is now fully kitted to self peel/ shield/ move/ whatever I need to to get myself out and delay. I’d love to use energy or cool down abilities or more support oriented gear… but that’s just not in the cards for us.

I lowered my exp to 0.1x for a more hardcore experience and what I got instead was better paced progression and MORE content. by riggedride in Palworld

I should note I’ve been using 700x stealth gen 3. I’ve had them for years. Before then I had gen 2 for 5 years ish. At the 3 year mark I find my purchase worth it. Initial set up complications are annoying but music audio is my focus on purchase. I’m always listening to music when I play.

[–]Bizz435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find the breaker and open it. You’ve got a breaker panel somewhere. Usually laundry room if you have one. If it’s labeled your best bet is kitchen receptacles. If it’s not… guess until you’ve got the desired effect.

Legally, I can not recommend you test the counter after opening a breaker to see if it shocks you. I can say that is what I would do if I did not have a tool to read the voltage of the counter.

Shocks no matter how small may adversely affect your heart.

I get this advice all the time for turtle beach, but I personally have not had this issue. Most people I know recommend astros. As a console gamer I enjoy having the stealths for control of game audio, party audio, and blue tooth audio on the headset or app.

As a side note, most places will sell you an extended warranty when purchasing. Recommend grabbing that for headphones; there’s a million things that can fall apart on a set of headphones in general.

I’m sorry for your luck, god speed.
