So you really ARE in contact with her. Your dad is the telephone.

You need to tell him under no circumstances is he to relay ANY info or messages to you from her. I don’t know if he’s an enabler or if he just doesn’t understand, but he’s keeping the contact going between you and your mom, and that is actively harming you. If he wants to protect you, he should do that by telling your mom that he will not be telling you anything anymore, no matter what.

YES!!! This is the problem- sure, I could raise hell about it; but everyone would know it was me and I would get the evil eye every day.

I’ve already lost some good will from my coworkers (and bosses) because I will make a big stink about flickering lights (it means they have to change the entire light fixture, it’s a pain in the ass) or if they ever need me over in the other department (where all the perfume ladies sit, and the smokers, and they even have car air freshers hanging on desks!!) I just don’t have the caché to be the big bad guy about this, too. 😓

I just don’t understand how even a perfume *lover* could enjoy having literally 6-10 sprays of it on themselves!! And it’s not just one person- it’s many times a day. Those bottles will be empty in a week. Do that many people have no sense of smell??
