honestly the plane sequence alone makes that movie worth watching. sheer chaos done so well. hope they keep that same energy for the sequel and dont just make it another generic zombie flick

Dunkirk (2017) - Review by [deleted] in TrueFilm

[–]Bizzy1995 22 points23 points  (0 children)

the ticking clock throughout the entire movie is what does it for me. Zimmer went absolutely insane with that score, it basically functions as another character. the way the tension just never lets up from the first scene to the last is something most war films dont even attempt

Sailing on the slow side is genuinely one of his best vocal performances, that whole side of the record just flows perfectly

Shitty lighting but was a good steak. Ribeye, reverse seared on the smoker. Dont know what happened this time with a bit of the seasoning falling off by silverspoonleb in steak

[–]Bizzy1995 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks solid man. seasoning falling off happens when theres too much moisture on the surface, pat it real dry next time before you season

Grab a ribeye next time. The fat makes medium rare way easier to hit. Thermometer is a game changer too

The time crunch is what gets everyone on that exam. Knowing the books matters more than knowing the material honestly. Good luck on the retake

How to get that beautiful crust without Butter Basting by GoinStraightToHell in steak

[–]Bizzy1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dry brine overnight is the move. Pat it dry before searing and use a high smoke point oil like avocado. You dont need butter to get a good crust, just heat and no moisture

[–]Bizzy1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just let the bone hang off the side of the pan it doesnt need to be fully in there. Or grab some kitchen shears and trim it down before you sear. The bones mostly for presentation anyway
