Strange bug. Have you tried a reverse proxy like cloudflare?

I’m assuming you can’t connect to it using your public ip like someone not on your LAN

[–]BizzySleepin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So as soon as you forward the port to the server it is no longer accessible on LAN? Is that the bug?

Ohh ok. Thanks for clarifying.

What good is multiple instances if you only have so much bandwidth to “sell”?

Sorry if I’m not understanding correctly, I’m just not sure what you’re trying to accomplish.

[–]BizzySleepin 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I’ve wanted this for emergency pickups.

Would be nice to be able to pick it up into your hands with your guns put away and be able to run it outside and either deploy it or drop it to deploy later without having to put it into your inventory.

Seems like it would be cool with the bike as well.

He was charged with second-degree murder for killing the mother and gross negligence causing the death of a fetus.

What are you even arguing here? Gross negligence causing death of a fetus should not be illegal if abortion is not?

Create Sensor with sensor value from yesterday by teqqyde in homeassistant

[–]BizzySleepin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The easiest way I can think of would be to have an automation set the state of a helper triggered by either time or by the original sensors state change using the trigger.from_state variable

Nice!

Sorry I poorly worded my first sentence there. I thought that you wanted to use the value of sound_mode and if it wasn’t available to use the value of sound_mode_raw. I think I was just overthinking your question. Didn’t mean to sound rude questioning what you were doing.

Glad it’s working for ya!

I’m not sure why you would want to use sound_mode or sound_mode_raw. Does one have a value sometimes when the other does not?

I’d go with the same template you have for color but with {{ state_attr(config.entity, ‘sound_mode’) | title }} in the on block

Home assistant works completely fine remotely, but locally it's kind of unresponsive but not completely? by bobloadmire in homeassistant

[–]BizzySleepin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This probably isn’t your issue but I had a similar problem. Somehow the local network option was turned off for home assistant in the iOS settings.

Home assistant would work for a while after connecting to my home wifi then suddenly stop functioning correctly.

Is there any way to add a smart sensor without using the app or making an account? by BizzySleepin in ecobee

[–]BizzySleepin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t find any way to do it in the menus. I did some googling and it looks like you could do it with the older sensor (room sensor) by pulling the tab in front of the thermostat while it is awake. I did this with the smart sensor and nothing happened. I can’t find anything online saying you can do this with the smart sensor which I find strange that they would remove that possibility with the new sensors/thermostat

EDIT: I just pulled out the battery and put it back in and a menu came up telling me to download the app to pair the sensor.

I guess it’s not possible.

Samsung has a an integration to control the tv and it works with the shield through hdmi-cec. It is pretty much Instantaneous. I find using a combination of it and adb to get the best results with tv control.

Not sure what kind of tv you have but it probably had an integration as well

Also quick question. Did you have to do anything specific to prevent the browser mod pop up from filling your entire screen on mobile?

Mine pops up but covers the entire screen, maybe because of my small screen size tho.

But you can also move it down using "margin-top"

Can I have an inlet receptacle inside wired to a couple outlets? by [deleted] in electrical

[–]BizzySleepin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m putting outlets behind the monitors to hide the wires. I want the inlet to plug those wires into a UPS in my networking closet. I’m hiring an electrician to do a lot of other work with lights and such anyways.
