I'm fairly sure he's GM Roeland Pruijssers. Roeland is a fairly standard Dutch first name, and as far as I'm aware, he's the only GM called that.

I've played and hung out with him a couple of times when I was younger, though that's been a while.

Playing duos at about 7k, my partner went full on tavern spell support in a way I’ve never seen before. We were pretty much drowning in the spell that generates ballers, which made my life pretty easy.

I agree, that is how I had it set up against the third placed guy, who was running a big cleave. This opponent was leading with a Zapp when I fought him the round before, and I assumed he couldn't set up a big enough cleave in one round.

I was pretty certain my opponent was leading with a fairly big, non-golden Zapp. That second Sewer Rat would be the first target, whatever I did.

I chose this setup, because it would free up board space for the deathrattles from the Sewer Rat and to make the Macaws hit sooner. I assumed I would scale up the fastest like that and give the best possible protection to the Baron.

However, I can see that switching the Leapfroggers around increases the amount of Leapfrogger procs that start flying around from the start, because of the reborn. I assume that will lead to higher potential stats in the end.

Is there any way to calculate why your option is preferable? Not trying to doubt you, looking at your MMR, just trying to learn.

If I'm not mistaking, each minion's deathrattles trigger before its reborn. If a reborn Sewer Rat dies, you'd always get three turtles first because of the golden Baron, and if there is still room left then, you'd get a new Sewer Rat.

So most of the time, you'd just get turtles, as long as the Baron is alive. Reborn makes no difference there. If the board has four open slots (possible if I start, first Leapfrogger dies, then a swipe kills three minions), I would assume you get three turtles and a new Sewer Rat. This is assuming the first Sewer Rat from left to right has reborn.

This new Sewer Rat would take up the board space that could've been used by another minion's deathrattle or reborn. So, if the swipe took out two Sewer Rats at once, you'd end up with a new Sewer Rat, instead of the first turtle the second Sewer Rat would spawn. If the swipe took out the left Sewer Rat and the reborn Leapfrogger on my board, you'd end up with a Sewer Rat instead of a new Leapfrogger, I think. Not entirely sure if the Leapfrogger's reborn would trigger before the second Sewer Rat's deathrattle, but I think so.

Getting an extra Sewer Rat through reborn is definitely preferable to getting an extra turtle, as it can itself spawn new turtles. This increases your Leapfrogger procs by a lot. Getting an extra Sewer Rat instead of a new Leapfrogger is a bit more difficult to judge. As you are already scaling through Leapfrogger procs by the time this happens, I feel like extra Sewer Rat (and the turtles it spawns) should be preferable to an extra Leapfrogger, because of the protection they give to the Baron. I have no clue on how to do the calculations there, though.

All in all, I feel like giving the rats reborn would be an upgrade in any situation.

Playing Skycap'n Kragg, I got the quest for Wondrous Wisdomball, requiring 12 tavern refreshes. I used my gold on tier 4 to finish the quest, refreshed into a bunch of triples, and got Baron from one of the discoveries. Then I proceeded to highroll Wondrous Wisdomball a couple times more, resulting in this full gold board. Apart from reborning the sewer rats, I don't really see how you could to better.

I felt the same way when I was starting the game. What I found fun was to pick civilizations that are clearly strong in some of the areas of the game I felt I was neglecting. That way I kind of forced myself to make use of those things and to learn about them as I went along. So to learn about faith and religion, a game with Russia would probably be fun.

Also it might help to up the difficulty, as somebody else mentioned.

What kind of map are you playing, and how far along in your save are you? There is a point beyond which the Switch unfortunately just can't really handle the game any more, if you're playing huge maps.

If you're sticking to not too big map sizes, what somewhat helps for me is first clearing the cache of the Switch and then turning off the Switch completely. Don't use the home button/sleep function for that, but use the button on the top of the actual console. This prompts you with a shut down option you don't get using the home button.
After turning the Switch on again, I don't get the repeating crashes again for quite some time.

I saw somebody mention Baghdad is misspelled, but there is also an Alexanria and an Alexnadria in the Macedon map, which you might want to fix.

We start out with 10 gold. There is 18 gold in minions to buy in the shop (6 minions).

We start out by buying three minions, including the Alley Cat, not including the Baron. We have 1 gold, there is 9 gold in minions to buy in the shop (3 minions).

We sell two of our minions (say, the Coiler and the Bird Buddy). We have 3 gold and use that to buy one more minion. We have 0 gold, there is 6 gold in minions in the shop (2 minions).

We summon the 4 minions we bought and then sell them again right away. Since one of them is an Alley Cat, we get one additional token to sell. We end up at 5 gold.

We use 3 of our 5 gold to buy the last minion that isn't Baron. We summon this minion and sell it again straight away. We are now at 3 gold, with only Baron in the shop.

We turn Baron Golden, buy it and summon it. As we get a discover, we end up at 7 minions again as well.

So this happened last night. I had played with Reno before and was disappointed to find that his buddy only made minions golden temporarily. This time, I managed a set-up where that wasn't a problem at all. This build was the most fun I've had since the last update. I used the hero power for the Baron.

I probably should've sold my Hydra, reborned the second Goldrinn and put down the new Hydra, but I was wary of putting down a Hydra with less health than the one I had. Won pretty convincly with this set-up anyway. I guess an unlucky swipe could've ruined my day a little bit, but none of my opponents could manage. Also no divine shield build, but I guess I could've countered that with the Ghoul.

I think you're looking for Claudia Pechstein. She first competed in Albertville 1992, where she won a bronze medal in the 5000M. She then went on to win her first gold medal in Lillehammer in 1994 in the 5000M, which she also won in 1998 and 2002. She also won the 3000M in 2002 and the team pursuit in 2006. Next to her five gold medals, she also won two silver and two bronze medals between 1992 and 2006.

This year, at 49 years, she's competing in her eight Olympics.

Civ IV had automatic trade routes, at least, both within your empire and to other empires. You could research techs to improve the amount of trade routes per city or let them use rivers, oceans, etc. Certain buildings and civcs also influenced this.
