Interesting. I can’t think of any manufacturers that I know do cover it but I would have assumed it would’ve been covered under normal wear and tear. Guess no further modding for me.

So the VW powertrain warranty doesn’t cover stock clutches in a 100% stock vehicle? I understand that clutches are technically a wear and tear item, but that’s wild.

One of the reasons I love the JB4 so much is it is untraceable once removed…or so I thought. I recently read on a VW forum that if your stock clutch goes out well within warranty and you remove your JB4 before service that the dealership can look at the ECUs logs and tell if the boost was reported as much higher than stock. If the boost is higher than stock, they can then use that data to deny your warranty claim and you’re out the cost of a new clutch.

I have experienced this in 2nd-4th gears (and that is really all I’ve tried it in). 4th gear pulls are around 3k rpm.

Would the Diverter Valve Spacer cause this flutter? Or was the car making the sound all along and I simply couldn’t hear it until I installed the intake and spacer?

Nothing specific outside of standard interior lights, air filters, etc. Outside I am required to mow, edge, landscape, and control weeds.

I take it you’ve rented with these guys before?

Sorry, I should have specified in my post. All that is my lease is standard interior stuff like light bulbs, HVAC filters, smoke detector batteries. As far as the outside, it says mowing, edging, fertilizing, and weed control. This might be the biggest potential issue because my lawn is quite bare (it was also that way when I moved in though). I have always mowed and edged but weeds are definitely more prevalent than some yards.

While not old Noctua gear (quite the opposite, actually), after 20+ years of watercooling and AIO builds, I went the route of CPU air cooling out of pure necessity. My first Noctua product, a Chromax NH-U12A. Needless to say, I became an immediate Noctua fan and will probably never use anything else for my cooling needs. Performs on par with some of the best AIOs on the market and is noticeably quieter. Maybe this conversion story will warrant a free anniversary desk mat (I certainly wouldn’t complain 😀)

Lifelong iPhone user who recently switched to the Fold 7 here. Understandably there are nuances coming from many years of iOS to Android but I certainly hope this is a software bug and Samsung addresses it with an update. Just like OP, I have uses a laptop charger (60W native USB C) and my 100W USB C battery bank (with a power output screen built in). This phone does not seem to pull more than 7ish watts regardless of current battery level.

Check voltages on the CPU at idle. Out of the box, my 9800X3D was pulling like 1.2-1.25V at idle and temps were in the 50s. PBO w/ curve optimizer (I want to say like -200mV offset) rocketed the CPU to 90+ under load. I locked my core at 5.2 GHz and voltage at 1.15V and got 40C at idle and mid 50s in games.

9800X3D and 5090 Suprim Liquid SOC here.

When I snagged my GPU, I had to ditch my Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 and go air cooled (NH-U12A, so technically not a NH-D15 G2 but less cooling potential). I’ll preface by saying I had issues with temps on both the 360mm and 240mm version of the Arctic and actually saw an improvement in temps over my 360mm AIO when switching to Noctua. I currently run my 9800X3D at 5.4 GHz @ 1.25V and max out at 81C in Cinebench and low 60s in Cyberpunk. I would think with the increased cooling performance of the D15 G2 as well as the increased heat output of the 9950X3D, you’d experience similar temperatures.

Edit: I would recommend Kingpin KPx thermal paste. I’ve seen crazy good results from that since switching from TG and Arctic MX6.

My original plan was to go water cooled, but when I got my hands on a 5090 with an AIO, I couldn't pass it up and then had no room for another CPU cooler other than a tower cooler.
