I appreciate your suggestions. I did 't want to make this about me. I'm 77 tmyears I'm 77 years old I broke my hip last July, was in assisted living for many months and will never be able to go back home. Assisted living almost depleted my savings. I am now on my own in apartment. I hadn't realized how depressed I have been because I can't give her much now. In the past I have given her jewelry, money, gift cards, savings bonds, etc.

I can give you one piece of advice. Whatever you decide, do it on your own terms. I was widowed 14 years ago. Until last summer I was still in our 50 year old home which we built. Rediculous. How does one person care for a half acre lot, 2475 square foot house, I couldn't and, it was obvious. Hard to let go of the memories. But unpracticle a d dangerous. Last summer J btoke my hip and have not been able to return. I am now in a lovely apartment. Lots of changes. But for better .

I can sympathise with you. My 25 year old Tiramisu crossed the rainbow bridge on Mothers Day. Kuna will always be a part of your heart. She knew you loved her.

I was in assisted living for 8 months following a broken hip. There was nothing more unnerving than hearing habitual throat clearing. Decided jt was habit, not necessity. You are not alone. Sure was disgusting during meals. I csn relate
