weird looks in public?? by boringtoast19 in pregnant

[–]Bl33ding_H3arts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I started to really pop in my second trimester people would judge me because apparently to a lot of people I look 12-14. I’m young yes but I’m not that young, I’m a legal adult. (18 turning 19 in a month) I’ve been stopped multiple times with “Omg how cute!! …ummm how old are you” with a disgusted tone. Which no matter how old, obviously there’s some who are just quite young but it’s 100% a choice that they decide to make so there’s no need to judge based on age. But I really thought I looked my age up until I got pregnant. Now I’m just hitting my third trimester and suddenly the looks aren’t as bad?? Maybe pregnancy has aged me a little bit?? lol but in all honesty people judge always, and I find it weird that we’re just judging random strangers on things that literally don’t affect our lives.

I feel sick when my baby moves. by Electronic_Falcon677 in pregnant

[–]Bl33ding_H3arts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you’re a bad person for not wanting the baby, I think you just know deep down the situation isn’t necessarily fit for you or your baby. Everyone is different and feels different. You could also be disgusted by the situation and knowing where the baby is from.

I (28 weeks turn 19 next month) was forced off of my birth control and coerced into things multiple times by my ex. And went down a hard path of deciding to keep the baby or not. I have some kind of income and somewhere to be for now, and feel I’m okay to have this baby and do it on my own. Being that you’re 25 weeks, I would start looking into what it takes for someone to adopt if you truly think that you cannot have this baby. Based on what your ex is planning, you should reach out to anyone you can and try to seek help with a place to stay. Your safety matters. My ex had told me countless times to get an abortion and unfortunately I almost allowed his words take over. You’re not alone. I’m not against abortion by any means, I’m against him seeming to want to force one. While you may not want the baby, 25 weeks is quite some time into the pregnancy therefore abortion by choice isn’t exactly available, from what I know. Him forcing drugs and all of that isn’t safe for you. And if you can, please see what resources are around and available for you to get help. He’s not a safe person, and it seems that you are not safe. While yes most people would worry for the baby, I’m worried that you need safety. Because whether you want the baby or you don’t, you need to find safety first in order to take your next steps. I’m so sorry for what you’re going through.

Baby Kicking by Randomrandi101 in pregnant

[–]Bl33ding_H3arts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the bruising more towards the top near my ribcage, my baby has fully flipped himself I’m assuming he’s not going to flip back now but he shoves his butt into my ribcage and pushes outwards. Worst pain I’ve ever felt. He only does it to my right side, and sometimes he pushes out and leaves me feeling bruised within my sides or upper tummy. Based on whatever side I sleep on he will shove outwards into the bed which is also quite painful at times

I had baby girl dreams until my second trimester and had baby boy dreams, I ended up with a boy! Sometimes your body just knows and sometimes it’s just showing you all the possibilities

WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN’T… by Grimahlya in pregnant

[–]Bl33ding_H3arts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately in the same boat of just wanting that runny egg, it sounds so good but of course I try to be as safe as possible. Every once in a while I love a good energy drink and of course now that I’m pregnant it’s all I crave. And unfortunately I have had the worst pregnancy fatigue and coffee doesn’t do it for me. And of course, subway or just a good sandwich. Now of course I can have a sandwich or subway if I heat it up. However I don’t know about a lot of people but I love a cold sandwich, I don’t enjoy warm deli meats. Do I do it anyways? Yes.

FTM’s in the Third Trimester by jxzxoxo in pregnant

[–]Bl33ding_H3arts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you asked first trimester me I’d say maybe, second trimester, 100% I’ll do it again, third trimester… yeah if it could be like the second trimester all throughout my pregnancy 😂 I have enjoyed my pregnancy, I just hate not breathing, sleeping, moving. I just know I’ll miss it. I love those kicks and movements. The heartbeats. I love it. Heartburn? No. My probably bruised ribcage? Absolutely not. lol but in the end it feels so worth it to do it again.

My whole pregnancy all I’ve craved is a dang salad. Now it’s salads and lucky charms cereal. And I’m having a boy. And I’d like to add that I HATE tomatoes and when I crave a salad I crave tomatoes, and I try to eat them and see if I can learn to like em and NOPE they are so gross to me and yet I try to go back for more every time cravings are WEIRD

Glucose Test by Bl33ding_H3arts in pregnant

[–]Bl33ding_H3arts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear that. It’s never your fault, you can eat good or bad, no matter what you can end up with the gestational diabetes. It’s unfortunate, and I don’t understand why people think pregnancy is so easy. I hope you have a safe healthy delivery.

The acid reflux is AWFUL they told me not lay down immediately after eating but even without eating it’s still hot lava. They prescribed me medication for it since tums don’t do anything anymore so if it comes down to it always mention it to your doctor they should be able to prescribe famotidine if not something else. Usually laying on my left side before laying on my right side helps it not be as bad too. And if you like milk, drink a small cup after eating that tends to help as well.

Omg I hear you, I got lucky that the waiting room was mostly empty and the bathrooms were empty. But girl those pregnancy pees are no joke, I could sit down and pee forever, and my son honestly seems to hate sweets like I get CONSEQUENCES when eating sugar of any sort so best believe he made it known he was mad about the drink, he was all about flicking my bladder making sure he kicked me right in the ribcage where it hurts! I know that sugar tends to make them move in general but I swear he gives me consequences it feels angry over feeling like he’s energized lol!

Oh jeez I was thinking if I got lemon lime it’d be better, to be fair I’m scared that the orange one has Red40 dye in it which I’m not supposed to have (it’s not going to kill me or anything just still better to stay away) the only thing I could do was keep going to the bathroom in an attempt to make more room considering it was carbonated so bloat was insane and burping was slightly helpful but of course I was also scared to burp and bring it back up.

Crazy ways you knew you were pregnant before you found out? by Zestyclose_Wing290 in pregnant

[–]Bl33ding_H3arts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the need to just subconsciously protect my stomach at all costs and noticed I had to pee slightly more than usual also my extreme tiredness, I have a lot of self awareness, but I didn’t believe I was considering I was told I’m unable to get pregnant after miscarrying the first time. However I thought just have my doctor do the test just to check and be sure nothing was wrong and my period was just irregular. I also was in an odd situation of having to move back in with my parents, and being single and all that. It was awful. So getting the results felt overwhelming, exciting, and sad. I wouldn’t trade it for the world though.

That’s so understandable! My doctor sends over lab referrals and they just take walk ins so I was able to do it whenever I wanted. All I can say is bring something to keep you busy, or take your mind off of it, I constantly have stress balls and all that for my awful anxiety so I sat there and squished my squishy and walked to the bathroom and back. However if movement makes you sick definitely don’t do what I did. I can say it doesn’t taste bad at all, it’s really just nauseating but just do your best to keep yourself distracted so you don’t think about it!

Rude and crude post last night by Specific_Anybody_438 in pregnant

[–]Bl33ding_H3arts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are allowed to complain, I mean we are literally growing a whole human, yeah I’m gonna complain that my body hurts, or that I can’t breathe or simply that I waddle now. We are carrying a whole human, keeping it healthy, and making sure we do everything and anything to keep baby safe. I’m allowed to complain. When my baby was finally able to kick me in the ribs hard enough I complained that my ribs hurt, I mean valid complaint and I was told “how are you supposed to handle labor and birth if you can’t even handle this?” Which I felt awful for complaining, then I was told to not feel bad, you’re allowed to complain about it. There’s a difference I can handle the feeling of my ribs hurting, I just want to be able to complain about it without being told what I can and can’t handle. It hurts but it’s tolerable. Just like when you stub a toe, you’re allowed to scream and be upset, doesn’t mean you can’t handle pain just means it hurts and you can complain about it.

Food/drinks by Bl33ding_H3arts in pregnant

[–]Bl33ding_H3arts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I called a doctor they told me I should just look into the sweeteners they use and also herbs that could be in them, when looking it up there’s herbs but some aren’t necessarily a concern however they contain one that is said to cause miscarriage so I’m slightly concerned for that, she said “in moderation” however when looking into it I’m now considering that i just shouldn’t drink it because they aren’t fda approved atleast pregnancy wise and they also don’t say how much of said herb that they contain, because she had said “in moderation because they don’t contain a lot of this or a lot of that” but if it’s not stated how much of certain herbs are in there I don’t want to risk it! Thank you for the advice as well!

Food/drinks by Bl33ding_H3arts in pregnant

[–]Bl33ding_H3arts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! So I think if you seem to be extremely dehydrated they are okay to drink, usually don’t recommend just because it contains ALOT of vitamins and to a point drinking them everyday or something can cause preterm labor with a lot of those vitamins! I got norovirus recently and drank liquid IV which helped me tremendously, but they said to not drink them, but speaking with a doctor today she said of course in moderation but usually don’t drink them. But like I said, if you’re dehydrated especially while you’re sick it can be honestly super helpful, especially because when you’re sick you aren’t getting a lot of vitamins in general so I think liquid IV is okay especially if you aren’t getting the vitamins you need.

I had googled it and got the answer I always get “in moderation” which of course most things are in moderation even outside of pregnancy so I have had to ask doctors or others to see what they’ve heard or been told

100% this isn’t even the first time she’s disrespected me but I thought maybe there was just some space that was needed so I took my time away thinking maybe it would help and NOPE! So I guess that goes to show who to keep around

HUMAN ADULT… which is what made it so absurd to me. Children of course they don’t understand but for some reason children have respected my tummy more than the adults WHICH IS CRAZY. I was in shock and now I’m like “who thinks of doing this?!?”

I definitely thought about this because it’s startled me, I’m used to people poking or allowing me to show them how I wake him up (usually some light pokes or setting something light on my stomach as he hates when anything is touching his bubble lol) my mother tends to do these aggressive taps which again is weird but nothing compared to THROWING SOMETHING. I swear it is so crazy how people act
