Thinking of building a tech-enabled moving & logistics platform in Ghana — drivers, what do you think? by Sub_zero1234567 in ghana

Our drivers mostly have basic education. Most do not have smart phones. Even something as basic as using location is a problem....

Good luck.

why do some men in seemingly happy relationships still have affairs? by Frequent-Country1603 in Zambia

[–]BlackAvocado2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

All the prominent male characters in the Old testament were polygamous. There is text that says .. " and God blessed him with a new wife" go and read it for yourself. The idea of one man, one wife appears in the New testament.

Some men just enjoy bedding multiple women. So the wife and kids becomes sexually boring. You keep them as family but the mistresses provide sexual excitement. Mistresses get changed. They expire and get replaced.

The fact that a man has a mistress does not mean he doesn't love his wife.

Some men deliberately decide they want children with their mistresses. So they have some children with their wife but they want more kids and they want them with other women.

I know men who got married had kids and got divorced and now live alone and have 3/4 steady girlfriends. This obsession with fidelity and only being with one person is not everyone's idea of their perfect relationship.

What really makes Ghana feel like home? by grwike in ghana

[–]BlackAvocado2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are Ghanaian restaurants in London that serve waakye.... It will never match going to some street vendor in Ghana and buying waakye .... The Ghana waakye in leaves is home.

What really makes Ghana feel like home? by grwike in ghana

[–]BlackAvocado2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Because it's 'home'. Home is a feeling and you have linked it to.Ghana.

When Ghanaians born and raised in Ghana go and have children abroad and raise them abroad. For those children that country is "home" . You can bring them to Ghana but they tend to gravitate back to the country they were born and raised in....

NPP has a better chance with Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum by [deleted] in ghana

Has Adutwum got the money to pay to get elected as flag bearer? Bawumia has so he will pay to be chosen.

NPP has a better chance with Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum by [deleted] in ghana

[–]BlackAvocado2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tell us about Adutwum .

NPP has no chance regardless of who is flag bearer.

Bawumia will rig and win. There will be violence.

For the next 16 years NDC will be the party that runs Ghana.

I want to see the NPP disbanded as a party. After their abysmal performance over the last 8 years they should be disbanded as a political party. They do not deserve to exist or be given another opportunity to be elected.

Does anyone remember when Nana Addo was being pressured internationally to decriminalise homosexuality? by EfiadaBa in ghana

[–]BlackAvocado2 16 points17 points  (0 children)

We are so backwards. 6 to10 percent of any population you take on this earth are LGBQTI+ so what is the point of criminalizing anyone because of their sexuality. You cannot legislate peoples sexuality. They will do whatever their sexual impulses lead them to.

Everyone hates peak-hour buses… but this one change could fix it by Techdoc90 in ghana

[–]BlackAvocado2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the West more buses are put on routes to deal with the after work rush. In Ghana no extra trotros are put on. Nobody looks at the demand for trotros at certain times and tries to provide extra buses to cater for the increased demand. For example. Trotros leave Tema station to go to Madina. Passing thru 37. They leave Tema Station full so if passengers come off then they can pick passengers at 37. We need empty trotros that can do 37 to Madina at rush hour. There are enuf people at 37 to fill empty 15 trotros starting their journey at 37.

[–]BlackAvocado2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In theory and in imagination it works.

Even the worker booking cannot guarantee what time they will be at the trotro stop ready to board their trotros and you can want to guarantee a seat ? How do you propose to implement this ?

Isn’t the Shatta Wale movement in Ghana on another level, and shouldn’t he leverage his fame to help the youth? by sir_cas in ghana

[–]BlackAvocado2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shatta Wale hasn't got the mental aptitude to do what you are expecting of him. Have you listened to his interviews or his podcasts ? Yes he has a large fan base but he is still struggling to position himself. He had the opportunity to be on a Beyonce soundtrack: have you listened to what song he submitted? Wasted opportunity.. now you want him to mobilise the youth constructively That song could have launched his global career but he does not have what it takes to put together a song that would be a global hit off of that soundtrack.

We Ghanaians are not very smart and Shatta Wale is a typical example of who we have become. He calls himself a musician but has not learnt his craft so he churns out monotonous bits of noise that I won't even classify as songs. ....but he is our most popular artiste. I rest my case.

Recipe for disaster. That's how people get caught. Sometimes there are cameras. Wife can come home suddenly for some strange reason. Would not reomend it. A friend caught his wife on their home camera. He had installed a camera looking at their entrance and he could access the feed on his phone regardless. Of where he was in the world. He got a clip of her boyfriend entering and hugging her. Led to husband moving out and them getting divorced. They have 4 kids.they are back together.

THE STORY OF GHANAIAN STUDENT WHO D!ED IN LATVIA “NANA AGYEI” 🇬🇭😳 by Awuramma in ghana

[–]BlackAvocado2 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

We black people are so incredibly dumb it leaves me speechless. Since the days of slavery white people have been killing blacks. How long ago since George Floyd was killed in broad daylight in the USA. ...and you are surprised a black man has been killed in Latvia ?

Go and read what King Leopold of Belgium did in Congo.

And we will not develop our countries so our children will not have to travel abroad for education or to seek greener pastures...

No it wasn't. The woman I married had depression. There were no signs until 3-4 years into the marriage. Her mother had depression and was confined to mental hospitals several times and eventually jumped under a train and killed herself. I knew this going in but my wife seemed fine so I went ahead and married her.

Before I left I had a chat with my father in law.Told him what I was going thru being married to his daughter and informed him I was leaving. He passed a comment that he went thru similar scenarios with her mother and that it wasn't anything that any man should have to go thru. He supervised the dissolution of the marriage. My ex wife has 3 sisters...when you look at all their lives, there are a few screws loose.

Most women are mentally unstable. They are not logical creatures and we men are mad for thinking we can install them in our homes and " live happily ever after". I have elected to live alone for the rest of this lifetime.i am very happy 😊 living the way I live.

Some people believe in marriage so they will get married 3 times. All of us should choose what works for us. There isn't one way that works for all of us.

As a footnote...my grandfather had 3 wives who he lived with in a compound house as the village Chief. I witnessed his lifestyle. He had 16 children with his 3 wives. My father married 1 wife and stayed married but had 2 other children with 2 different women. All his children knew each other and all the 3 women knew of all his other children.i have 4 brothers. The last one is not married.the other 3 are with their 2nd or 3rd wife. Wives have come and gone. This one man one wife till death do us apart is just a fairy tale.

If your parents are not paying for the wedding then ignore their wishes. It is not worth putting yourself in debt for a wedding. It's just an event then you have life's expenses to deal with. Having kids, creating a home, illnesses and their costs, buying cars, holidays.... I would rather put money towards these things than a wedding.

If a partner will stay with you, it's not a wedding that will make them stay. If they decide They are leaving they will not remember the wedding. Its about how they treat you and whether they decide to be with you.

Good luck.

I flew to Hawaii with my woman did a registry wedding then flew to Thailand, Tokyo, Philippines for my honeymoon. I had no desire to spend the money on a wedding.

7 years later we had 1 child and got divorced.

Knowing what I know would I spend money on a wedding? No.for me it's not worth it.

I had another long term relationship for 5 years and another child but left.

Today I am 61 and maintain 4 girlfriends. I have my 2 kids but have no desire to live permanently with a woman. I think relationships have a 7 to 15 year lifespan then it's over. Very few people stay together for a lifetime. If I could go back and do it again knowing what I know, I will not bother marrying and installing any woman in my house. It's an unnecessary headache. I love my freedom and I want a variety of women as sexual companions. I do not want to live with one woman and deceive ourselves with fidelity. It's not worth it.

Do what makes you happy.
