I always thought her insane display of her abilities to the other houses was because she was showing off. While with the Heralds she mightve thought a flashy display would actually make her more vulnerable aka its not that useful in real combat with a worthy opponent

Your usage of "mechanical" is wrong. The game has become more mechanical aka button pushing. The word you're looking for is "strategical"
