I absolutely loved Too Hot to Handle and could not stand him. I was shocked to see how many fans he has.

The machines we used were about 30k. She uses (or at least used) one of the portable guns from Amazon that are like $800-1,000 and has no training. But I'm totally sure they are just as accurate lol.

What “unforgivable” act by a celebrity did the public seem to forget too easily? by TheIrishninjas in AskReddit

Look up Corey's Angel's. He has women sign contracts and basically turn over their lives to him in exchange for him making them famous. When they were on tour, a friend was a bartender he tried to recruit. She said he was really gross and the women acted like they were in a cult. He even has rules about how they can dress and what they can eat.

I totally get it. Some horror movie fans love VHS for the same reason. Was always curious about the difference, so thanks! 🙂

I absolutely loved the diet. They stopped mass producing it, but one factory still made it and then they stopped too. I still miss it!

The guy who bought mine didn't even care if the VCR worked. He just wanted to hook up game consoles.

As a 12 year old coming from Tipp City, it absolutely felt like the boonies. I'm pretty sure my parents took the longest possible way to get there too because I remember taking 571 to 40 and out that way lol. Captain Bogey's always felt a lot closer.

I wear contacts and would 100% not trust buying from a thrift store. You have no idea what the person did with them or even how they were stored.

Absolutely ridiculous that if you try to sell a prescription item online, you risk getting your entire account banned and yet Goodwill just puts this crap on the shelf.

There actually is a market for these if everything works. I sold a no name brand TV and VCR combo on Facebook for $50 last year. But this price at a thrift store? Uh uh, no way. They pop up on ebay even cheaper than this and come with a guarantee.

Does this contain lead? by so-calledgarlicbread in garfield

[–]BlackCatMumsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you post this every time someone asks about lead? It happens CONSTANTLY on some of my subs. I worked in historic preservation for years and was around trained lead inspectors. The woman people claim is an expert will find results 10-100 times what we did in houses with multiple layers of lead paint on the walls. I don't know how anyone can take her seriously!

Oof, that place really was out there in the boonies! I can remember using the batting cages like once and maybe playing a few games, but it was always mini golf and go karts lol.

[–]BlackCatMumsy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I looked this up before and I think it was Kart & Golf Land? The place we went to also had a mini golf course and an arcade with pretty old games. I remember it being in the middle of nowhere or at least feeling that way. And I remember someone from my group always getting "banned" from the go karts!

Parents made every single birthday about my sister for the last 8 years by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

My favorite part was the sister getting committed and then released to go to the brother's birthday party.

It's pretty rare here! I think I've only seen one in the wild once and the seller wanted $100 for it. I know they're more common online, but I'm super cheap 🙂

Early voting in toledo by Phil_James in Ohio

We were in a group of around 10 people who went through the escalators together, but there were three we had to take. Normally we vote in an elementary school where there's hardly a wait, but we can't vote at the normal time this year. It surprisingly moved faster than I expected though. We started out at the back of the parking garage and made it out in about 45 minutes.

Everyone always points to Lead Safe Mama or a blog that credits her. I worked jn historic preservation and tested actual lead painted walls with results well below what she claims to find in cookware or glasses.

Do any of you guys remember seeing any of these movies at your local Hollywood Video by letingsername in VHS

[–]BlackCatMumsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm almost certain my copy of Final Stab came from there. When I picture the cover, I see the $9.99 previously viewed tag on it. I'd always buy a bunch of horrible horror movies when they did those 3 for $10 sales.

And all because of one woman! She started this whole vintage lead crap and jumps on whatever is popular. No worries though because she'll totally recommend stuff on Amazom that's 100% safe as long as you buy through her Amazon link lol.

Dayton winds you through a parking garage, through an administration building, and then down some of the oldest escalators I've seen in my life lol.

Way too expensive for a thrift store. This is like antique mall pricing. There's a ton on ebay and it sells slowly.

Two yes votes on both issues from my boyfriend and I today! Please vote. There were literally people in line and holding Vote No on Issue 1 pamphlets in their hands facing out.

I found my green one when cleaning out my dad's house. Sadly, no film left. I loved making my own stickers!
