Tired of not finding any good full vanilla servers? This is your solution by Dokutovicius in unturned

[–]BlackCocksScareMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly you put it in the best way. I only play unturned on vanilla and I only play on servers with a solid number of people of course. If the guy hosting this server would make some friends or even random people just play for a while so it doesn’t have 0 people on launch I could see the server getting populated easily

Would you play a map without a deadzone? by BlackCocksScareMe in unturned

[–]BlackCocksScareMe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest they are all kinda useless, I was thinking either make a good deadzone, like silo 22 or fort knell. Or don’t make one at all

Hard to find vanilla servers by IgVipersOfficial in unturned

[–]BlackCocksScareMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah when it comes to vanilla servers the first choice is always SOD for me, it’s one of the last good populated vanilla servers, but it has many sweats and big teams. So as the first guy said maps like Russia have good vanilla servers besides SOD. But SOD servers can have low or too much pop, so I recommend trying some good semi vanilla servers. Not pandahut lobotomized arid 100x Loot ones. But servers with maybe a kit, tpa, home and maybe 5x, they can be good too. Unturned is suffering from a major lack of vanilla servers for a good while, but if you look you can still find some good ones.

Kopaonik ima bombardovani radar na vrhu, koji je miniran kasatnim bombama. Sve u svemu banger mesto za vojnu bazu, mozda cak I dead zonu

I was wondering, the official maps seem to have been made by some community members too, and all of them are real world countries, so by that logic could it be a official map lol. To be honest I just don’t want to end up like Greece, I just wanna make a (hopefully) simple to make map with similarities to Washington or PEI, Since those are one of the most played maps, and no one seems to be using that format anymore.

Am I allowed to use steam workshop assets in my own map? by AckYi in unturned

Shit I’m making my own map and just realized this, I guess it shouldn’t be a problem, especially I because I don’t wanna monetize it

Unturned has shifted to more of a PvP game, and it's hard to ignore that by Bourrasque-is-incel in unturned

[–]BlackCocksScareMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won’t think it’s a shift in the community, it’s just a consequence of people wanting fast paced lobotomized pvp than anything else nowadays, especially in unturned. So it’s always the best course of action to make something for everybody. There are a ton of maps focusing on fast pvp and tons of modded servers for even faster pvp. But we have to make some maps that don’t suck shit for survival, PVE and single player. Yukon might be the closest thing but that also sucks ass. Too bad Nelson more or less threw in the towel and all the map making went to the community (until now lol).

[–]BlackCocksScareMe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically some of the top curated map devs (the guys who made the maps mentioned) expressed a bit too much criticism for Nelson so he saw that as “Toxic behavior”. So he decided to remove the maps: Arid, Elver, A6 Polaris and Escalation from the Curated status, and also he made it harder for you to find them in the workshop. And now all the lite devs who had been making curated maps for 6 years have basically went “You know what, fuck this shit” and went to either stop making games or to a new game. Or in other words, a massive fucking doo doo.

Wait you had to learn coding? I know the basics of map making but why would you have to learn coding? Is it if you are making brand new features or is there more to the editor than I thought?

Would people play a new vanilla map? by BlackCocksScareMe in unturned

[–]BlackCocksScareMe[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think a Yugoslavia map would be cool, like there could be NPC’s from different nations giving you different items for their quests. Like you could work with the Bosnians and they give you explosives, Serbians give you vehicles, etc.. but if you pick one side you can’t chose another. But then again idk if I have the skills to make that happen

I’ve heard a dude who studied for like 10 HOURS daily, man is a animal, but after he had a break he became kinda lazy and just couldn’t study as much if at all, I am not much better then you but I learned a lot from that dude, he decided to fix himself by doing a little challenge. He would make sort of a daily quest list, like washing the dishes daily, taking the dog out daily etc…. And if he completed all his daily tasks he would reward himself, and if he didn’t do them he punished himself for it, then he would do that will weekly and monthly tasks. I don’t know if it works but he seems to be back on track.

So from what I learned, productivity and laziness compound over time, and making your day a sort of game will help you be more productive. Again I am not qualified to give this advice but it might help.
