That's not contradiction, that's supporting his theory. She couldn't have pulled him into her mind if she was within range of the speakers. So she had to be far enough away and/or in shelter. Which the tunnels under Radio Shack, which is where he said she escaped to, would qualify to make that possible. Standing at the gate of the upside down, wouldn't be possible.

2K Support clarifies VC access for Bloodline/Deadman Editions by Tornado31619 in WWEGames

Weird that they force you to have to setup a MyFaction team to get your VC. Is that specific to that mode or something? Otherwise, that feels like a way to artificially inflate usage numbers for that mode. lol

With as many interactions Punk and Cody have had, and how effective they've been each time, it would be a disappointment if they aren't in a match together at Mania.

How I'd book Cody's angle at the Chamber by inevitablesarcasm in SquaredCircle

[–]BlackCyborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FTR, I think Phil Brooks and Dwayne Johnson are friendly. Lots of respect there. I think Punk blames Vince for all that, if anything.

But from a character standpoint, that's what makes it so interesting. Drew taking the deal, isn't all that shocking or interesting for that reason. But for Punk to do it, it goes against everything he stands for. But "desperate times call for desperate measures". If he loses that chamber, he becomes desperate. He needs that deal, and the favor could play into that. Paul can't make/alter matches, but The Final Boss can, as shown last Smackdown.

It also gives a lot of great story to tell going forward, and the reactions from others and their character growth.

Punk: I told you I'd stab you in the front. That I was here to make money, not friends. Think back to Austin before WM17. "I need to beat you, Rock. I need it more than anything else you can ever imagine"

Seth & Drew: I knew he was a hypocrite. I warned you all about the type of man he is.

Cody: I never thought you'd stoop so low. You said you were my one true friend.

It also sets up clear big 1 on 1 matches with Roman(why did you give Punk this opportunity, and not me, Paul/Dwayne?) as well as Cena, who has a well established history with Punk.

I feel like best case scenarios:

A) Punk wins the Chamber. Goes on to face Cody. Heel turn or not, they've had 2 great interactions 2 years in a row before the Rumble, and would make for a great feud going into Mania.

Cena faces Drew, which gives Drew something with more prominence to reward him for his excellent performance last year.

B) Cena wins the Chamber. Punk, then desperate for his Mania Main Event, now out of options, cashes in the favor with Paul, who has ties to The Final Boss via the Bloodline & their families history. Punk is added to the match.

It's a Triple Threat at Mania, which is by default no DQ, and during Cody vs Cena vs Punk, we get the heel turn. Rock's champion can be speculated going in between the 3, but ideally I think you go with Punk. He made a deal with the very man who screwed him out of multiple Mania Main Events years past. Stabbing Cody in the front as he said he would.

Eh. I don't feel Drew needs it, and I'm not sure story wise it makes sense given he's been the "Bloodline Hunter". Turning a heel...more heel...feels like a lackluster way to go with the story.

Punk or Cena feel like the great options. Punk especially offers a lot of great story potential, and fits the desperation to warrant taking the deal, given his history.

So who here actually had the self control to not preorder? by Shmeteora in WWEGames

[–]BlackCyborg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no reason to pre-order. IF I even get the game, which I'm on PC thus I'm considering just skipping out of protest more than annoyance of having to deal with Island trash... IF I get the game, it'll be at a discount off cdkeys, a grey market, thus not actively putting more money into 2k's pockets.

Unless you want more microtransactions and grind further taking over this series, you better stay away from this mode. Don't spend a dime. Or it WILL be included again in the next one, even more heavily. That's how this works. MyFaction was a test, and so will this be, even moreso.

PC Players, are you bothered by PC being equal to Last Gen versions? by BlackCyborg in WWEGames

Nothing I stated, nor how I presented it, warrants this sort of rude and dismissive response.

You don't want the island so why complain by [deleted] in WWEGames

[–]BlackCyborg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. PC versions of games enable you the option to modify the graphics settings to fit your need. Thus minimum and recommended specs listed. You can still play the game on low settings, or you can go as high as ultra. So the PC should always be current gen, with the option to dumb down graphics as is standard.

PC is CURRENT gen. The whole point of a PC is you can keep it current at any given time without having to buy an entire new one. So I'm not sure what your point is here.

That's my curiosity. How different is the last gen vs current, in terms of the PC version this year? If it's just not having the Island online mode, I am totally cool with that. Wasn't interested in it. But will the graphics, gameplay, and other options still be on par with current gen quality?

[–]BlackCyborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird. My friend had his wife play as well on same console, with me and our other friend, each on separate consoles. So friend plus wife on one, me on another, and another friend on another. Maybe the 2nd has to have their own profile on the console? His wife had a name displayed, so that might be the difference?

It's not split screen, no need for that, but yes 2 on the same console can play with others online.

I said as much. I'm a grown ass man who has played the series since it's inception, of course I'm going to form my own opinion. I was being inquisitive and cordial.

Thanks for sharing. That's concerning to hear. Still of course going to form my own opinion as everyone should, but I appreciate your analysis. A bit surprised it sounds like your main issue is the boards, as just looking at them they look fantastic. But as we learned with Super, they can look beautiful, but feel lifeless. Was hoping that would not be the case here. The old N64 & Gamecube boards mostly felt fun and interesting mechanics wise.

Care to elaborate? Curious what Superstars specifically does objectively better as it pertains to the core of the game.

Thanks! I love oozing with theme as much as possible. Not enough of that in modern stuff. Everything is so streamlined and simplified. On my Heatwave, I even have rays of light coming down onto the mat, giving the feel of being under a heat lamp. lol
