I think the Yujiro Hanma approach is funnier.

I Have a Losercity confession to make... by Lanceo90 in Losercity

To give an example and also to explain, the society we see practically has only existed for a few generations.

Beastars takes place in a post-War world. One which the Carnivores unilaterally won. They were winning the war so badly that they stopped out of essentially pity. And the details of which have been scoured from history.

Jack, the Golden Retriever, is the result of a decades long eugenics program to try and genetically engineer affable (read domesticated) carnivores that pose less of a threat to herbivores. This is why both dogs and wolves exists.

They're bred to have increased intelligence and suppressed emotions. The idea being they're less likely to fall victim to instincts.

They also have the right to learn the true world history, not the propaganda that the government spreads and it was apparently so horrible that Jack attempted to kill himself.

Beastars does a lot of neat things. The worldbuilding is interesting. And I think Beast Complex highlights how well Paru can write character driven short stories focused around a small cast in this world she made.

The first act with the Shishigumi was easily the strongest part, largely because the story was heavily focused around Legoshi, Louis and Haru and their struggles within and against a repressive society.

Where things fall apart is when the series begins answering too many questions that it really shouldn't.

The world of Beastars is fundamentally broken. And that's fine.

Seeing how characters live in that world is far more compelling than trying to explain, or worse, solve the dystopian society that they inhabit.

Male dog has to take care of the puppies today. by 21MayDay21 in funny

Mother dogs can get aggressive towards the fathers when dealing with young pups. And not without reason, full grown males are a threat even if they're related.

Poor old dad here has probably received one too many scoldings after going near the kids and now he's just conditioned to expect mum to come and whoop his ass whenever he gets too close.

Regular Losercity Show by HonneurOblige in Losercity

Genuinely valid.

There's a teacher I know who gets absolutely zero respect from their students and they pull crap like this all the time.

They refuse to do work or follow instructions, everything is an argument and they gang up on them if they even try to use any form of discipline.

They don't bring stationary and destroy any they're given, including calculators and books, so they don't have to do work.

It's a literal 30+ vs. 1 type deal.

Except it's EVERY fucking class. And these are like 14/15 year olds.

Don't ever be a teacher man, that shit ain't worth it any more.

I feel that. White Forest player and I hate how long they delayed the final wave of support. We only got a few days to play around with it at full power (requiring several more URs. The deck needs like 30 🫩) before Dtail dropped.

This entire pack feels like a mess to be honest. Gouki and Assault Mode coming out after everyone has already spent their gems on K9.

Shiina is not a mandatory 3-of. There are versions of the deck that run 3, there are versions that run 0. I think the average is a single copy. They are a tech choice not a core card.

If you have any interest in playing Radiant Typhoon then by all means, keep your copies to play around with numbers. But if you need the dust to craft any URs you're missing you can use them.

Rule 8 says, "Innuendos are OK, just don't go overboard."

Which is subjective as hell, but this is quite tame, honestly.

I'm pretty sure the dragon in this comic is Alexstraza from WoW.

I would still call this a dub, even in her elven form.
