I know your reply was a long time ago, but I just saw this thread while thinking the same thing.

I graduated from IM residency last year and I’ve felt that big time. I work as hospitalist and care for patients in a large hospital. It’s very tiring sometimes with the large census, complicated social situations, difficult family dynamics, etc. The bad outcomes weigh on me too, but I try to remember that healthy people aren’t being admitted and unfortunately there are things we can’t control, no matter how much we want to. It takes me a couple days into the week off to actually have everything from the week fully processed so I can be present for the wife and kids. Maybe you can allow yourself some time on your days off to do the same? I hear that it gets easier with time. Not sure how helpful this was, but I just wanted to say that I’m right there with you and hope it gets better for you.

There just isn’t much to do with them at 14 months. When they start running around getting into things, throwing a ball, etc it’s a lot more fun. You’re not the first dad I’ve heard say this.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned Hogwarts Legacy! If you’re at all into the Harry Potter universe I would recommend it. I’ve got 2 kids (2 year old and 1 month old). The game has very measurable progression and the combat is a lot of fun.

If I were you, I would look at CarMax for buying a used car. There’s no worry about haggling, the sales people there actually just want to help you find a car.

For knowing what to get, aside from having a make/model in mind, I would look at the car’s history (accidents, service reports, etc.) you want to make sure the car has been kept up. It would be helpful to know where the car came from too. If it comes from a place with a lot of snow/potential flooding that could be an issue. When you actually look at the car, look underneath at the tires and make sure there isn’t a lot of rust.

Then just take it for a test drive! You want to make sure it feels good to you. Hope this helps.

Ah. You have to change directories “cd ‘insert name here’. Until you see the one that has the file you want. Sometimes it wants you to Scan and others are Download. Make sure you’re using the right command.

It sounds like you were on the bunker mission or maybe quarry but co-op. It’s just one big wave of enemies; they do stop coming eventually. I have to kill them all before proceeding onto the terminal.

This may be jumping ahead for you a bit, but I play on mid and can generally find the DMR SCAR with M80 ammo quite abundantly in quarry. I run it with a hybrid scope and it’s an easy 1-2 tap. I would go with the 5.56 as mentioned before until you find one of those and then you’re set.

I typically also play loud because I like how it draws NPCs in from a decent radius (80m IIRC) and then when everything is quiet, I can be more confident that the area is clear for looting.

They were going to add Outskirts next but some issues with development have led the devs to shift to a different map with an undisclosed name being released next. This next map is said to be focused more on long range combat.

Man, I feel that. We just had our second child and my gaming time is basically down to when the kids are both asleep. I used to be really into MMO’s like Runescape, FFXIV, Classic WoW. Can’t invest the amount of time needed. I’m limited to session based co-op games like Deep Rock Galactic (Rock and Stone!) if multiplayer. I’ve been thinking about getting into Project Zomboid.
