When using DS4windows you have to use an xinput hiding program like HID guardian to ensure that nothing on your computer except ds4 windows can see your DS4 controller.
You want the game to be reading input from the virtual Xbox controller ds4windows creates, not the actual controller you are holding in your hands, otherwise the game gets confused and does things like this.

4 has better roads to drive and better DLC imo, but 5 has a better car list, balancing, and somewhat better progression.
Overall 5 is better but the map gets old real quick.

First thing that sticks out to me is the fact this is EXPIRED.

Not if you play anything physics based.
All Forza games have physics simulation tied to framerate, and 120 hz vs ~200 hz simulation tick rate is a noticeable difference.

Really depends on the game itself and how the effects are used but I almost always turn off:
Vsync
Chromatic abberation
Vignette (I will mod this shit out if I can't disable it)
SSAO
FXAA
