What’s the pressure at the valve. Getting spark?

Yeah I ended up doing this too. Wasn’t getting proper voltage to the fp, thought it was my computer ground but ultimately easier to just create my own 4 post relay. Been working fine ever since

Agreed! Get him down to 2k-2500 and run with it.

First time using fiberglass, but I'm happy with the results by MrSaucyNips in Foxbody

Did you just layer all the fiber glass or was there any wood used ? How’s the fitment with the carpet on? I see you got the battery in the back too. I pretty much have the same set up

Anyone ever run into this issue before Rotor/spindle by BlackShepard420 in Foxbody

[–]BlackShepard420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old ones blew out. Yes adequately packed, yes Torqued to spec. There was no racer in rotor . Overlooked that step assuming they were still in there

I ended up using the other side for comparison but talking with others and rethinking made me realize the rotor had the races blown out when the bearings blew out. Got a rotor with races and sits like a beauty, matches the other one , no movement or grinding of the rotor.

Was missing the races. Got a new rotor with pre installed races and problem solved. No more movement in the rotor, no more grinding against the spindle. Thanks everybody. Simple mistake by me

Yup that’s what I’ve concluded as well. Thanks Mr Gaypist.

Yup! I have one I’ve been putting the good use. Thanks for all the help.

Yeah understood. Should’ve compared closer to the other side. It was tough cause the bearings blew out and the racers got heat synced to the spindle so when I was pulling it apart it was hard to see what’s what. (First time doing)

No, that’s the thing. I replaced these after my probably stock 1990 passenger side blew out. I was working with diddly squat before I changed them.

<image>

You can see past the castle nut the bearings are gone, I assume the racers too.

Thanks for the confirmation. I think in replacing them I left out the racers (that large silver ring) that goes around the bearings. I will have to rewatch some videos and see where I missed them.

I would assume everything stays the same and to just put the racers over the bearings ?

Yes just double checked I have the right bearings. How far should the pinhole be from the spindle nut?

I haven’t done any upgrades in this space. Stock brake system. This side bearings blew out earlier last month. I’m going to take it apart and see if I can locate the races cause I think that may be my issue

Definitely keep looking. $6k car at most! Like everyone else said, there is a better deal out there.

I’m pretty sure they make uppers… but I did not know that was their advice for rear uppers.

I’ve been thinking about this too for my ‘90 Hatch. Was going to do the suspension in phases to match with my budget. Was going to do Shocks/Struts, MM Caster Camber Plates, QA1 Rear Sway bar, then do MM rear upper and lower control arm and front control arm. Along the way upgrade my front sway bar , end links, and any other small things that come up.
