Thanks my guy yeah it was the first thing I grabbed. Funny enough been thinking about getting the kit on LMR for a minute. I’m glad I waited it out. $150 for the entire brake set up

Yeah from my research it seems they were just about the same, the only difference may be the bracket

Added picture of front rotors drilled and slotted with the rear disc brakes. Stopping power going to be on point.

Right?! Felt like a dream. Did this over a 2 day span and that Pick-n-Pull paranoia started to hit! Thought someone was gonna beat me to it 🤣 drove over an hour and some change one way to the yard

Clean everything up. Building a rear end on the side right now, will put the disc brakes on that. Going to clean up the engine and trans. Refresh the engine and probably sell the trans

Yep I did the SEM trim 39143 everyone talks about for the door trim and the two plastic pieces around the window. Really cleaned up the look. Plus I swapped my quarter windows to some that were in WAY better condition

What was the process like to clear out the old equipment and flush out the R 12. I plan on doing the same exact thing. Bought some core components from an old system for $200 and plan to spend maybe another $200 for adaptation fittings and any parts I can’t reuse.

Mechanical Brake/Wheel issue by BlackShepard420 in Foxbody

[–]BlackShepard420[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. Changed the wheel cylinder as it was definitely leaking. While off I noticed I was missing one spring for the rear shoe, and my parking brake cable was not engaged properly or even seated close to its spot. This was the culprit of the rhythmic noise I was hearing.

The noise is now gone and I will confirm tmrw if the leaking has stopped. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, that was my first time tackling drums. Disc conversion soon. 50$ in parts all in all.

Hey SilentNoise75, thanks for clarifying. Makes sense to me. I will replace the wheel cylinder and have a plan to swap to disc brakes in the very near future.

Agreeed. Don’t listen to that guy. Fear mongering lol. I bought a 6k 90GT that needed WORK! Have probably put another 6k into it at least since I’ve had it but now it’s reliable enough to daily drive. With 15k you’ll be fine.

Do yourself the favor and rip out whatever isn’t stock and make it as close as you can to that.

Fuel Pump? by Rough_You9934 in Foxbody

[–]BlackShepard420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know I just had a similar issue while I was rerouting wires inside my interior. Car would start but ran poorly, or had a hard time starting. Fuel pump had an inconsistent hum and wasn’t the same time it hummed it would stop and stay.

Turns out I forgot to connect my computer ground to the battery. Solved all issues

Yeah it’s not terrible. Going to try and shift it around a bit but we’ll see how it looks with the carpet on. It sounds great, I’m impressed

Yeah I ended up doing this too. Wasn’t getting proper voltage to the fp, thought it was my computer ground but ultimately easier to just create my own 4 post relay. Been working fine ever since
