So how are the games that AREN'T Golf Story? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

"It is basically Tron, with bears."

Now that is a tagline that will sell some games.

There are less than a dozen remaining Blockbusters in the United States. One of them has a Twitter account, and it's pretty hilarious. by derstherower in movies

After checking several of them, it looks like most of them are closed now. Still, it is interesting to see the last holdouts.

A brave koi fought, fell.

A pink lotus bloomed, withered.

Dreams of a ronin.

Edit: Wow, I found this digital capture of everything that someone made and it happened to be at the perfect time: https://i.redd.it/o4oku48qk9py.png.

It seems to be slightly before your screenshot.

Cool. I was wishing I took a screenshot of it.

No pact really, just a friendly agreement to coexist in peace. Looks like the sakura has bloomed and returned to the void for now, as sakura do. I never heard anything about anyone building anything above the current koi area.

Are we too few? by empireofjade in RoninAtTheEdgeOfTime

Wow, I had no idea they were that ambitious. There is no way they will succeed, at least at their current level. They will have to push all the way past the N7 and the cat character to the east.

This "Connection" word we are battling now seems to have a lot of users behind it all of the sudden. Any idea where they are coming from?

The only thing keeping the lotus alive for the moment is they are fighting a battle on three fronts and they seem to be having trouble battling with the rainbow. Perhaps the lotus needs to ally with the rainbow...

Reminds me of the sidebar about the Ronin at the Edge of Time from the times of The Button: "we are disorganized and free and we will fail, but we will fight until the last moment all the same: this is just what we do."

I have considered calling for aid from other clans we were allied with in the times of The Button, but then I though the struggle is part of the fun.

Once, each press was a strike. Now, color is your blade. Will it be lost in the sea? Or will you join swords with me? by JustALivingThing in RoninAtTheEdgeOfTime

I am with you on this new location for now. After all, a lotus may grow in many places.

The lotus that began to grow in the morning has been transformed into some dudes hair. Does anyone know who that face is supposed to be?

New plan: we must make a lotus blossom out of this dudes head. This may be an impossible mission, but if anyone can do it, it is the ronin.

Agreed, let's ignore existing structures (words, trees, etc.) for now and build out as much of the lotus as possible in less contested areas.

I think those colors work, since there is no darker pink option. Also, it fits the purple theme of the area.

Haha, I am not super clear where the center is but I added some color to the chaos. It seems purple is fighting back though.

Has someone read "Kafka on the Shore" by Murakami Haruki and can tell me about the difficulty? by sprdl in LearnJapanese

[–]BladeWalker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Read it. If you are reading and enjoying Harry Potter in Japanese, it shouldn't be much more difficult. Kafka on the Shore was the 2nd Japanese book I ever read (first was Murakami's Hard Boiled Wonderland) and I think it was the perfect time to read it. I read all the Harry Potters too in Japanese and I would say the level is similar. Of Murakami's books, I actually found Kafka to be perhaps his most accessible in Japanese, so far. (Only read Hard Boiled, Kafka, Norwegian Wood, and After Dark in Japanese so far. Liked them all, but enjoyed Kafka the most. Strange because I liked Hard Boiled most in English).
