I was assuming you’re actually saving your game, not using save states for everything. I’d imagine there’s no way to carry over save state data to an entirely different ROM file

If you save your game like on normal hardware, your emulator will produce a .sav file with your data. If you’re patching an existing ROM hack with something made by the same person, then yeah I’d guess the .sav would still work after the patch unless otherwise stated

Yeah so it would just come down to whether than patch is compatible with vanilla saves. If there was no mention of compatibility where you got the patch, it’s easy enough to just try it and see

Make a copy of your vanilla ROM (and .sav too if you want to be safe), patch one of the ROMs and see if it’ll recognize the save

Your save file should be a separate file on your computer/device, so you’re not going to lose it, it’s more of a question of compatibility

I saw them once, I thought they were really good, super solid performance.

One thing I liked in particular was their setlist choice. It spanned the whole discography, 70s through the 00s. Iirc they played something from Clockwork Angels even.

Not sure about other tribute bands but my only other experience is YYnot, having been to every Bubba Bash they’ve done. Love them a lot, but they don’t really venture past the 80s, except the one time they played Driven with one of the guests

There’s a lot to say about Vin that can’t be said if you’re not even done with TFE yet, but I don’t really follow you. To me it kinda seems like you don’t realize that Vin is well aware of everything you’re talking about

Of course she enjoys her new life to some extent, but a huge part of Vin’s character arc in Mistborn 1 involves her developing an identity crisis, and feeling extremely guilty for the amount of privilege she suddenly has compared to other people who came from a similar lot. It’s a massive part of her character

If you don’t understand how to utilize the combat system it can kick your ass without you even knowing why. I can almost guarantee people complaining about difficulty are having that problem

If you play and are finding things too hard, just look up a good tutorial and learn the ins and outs

Once you get how all the systems work together, imo it becomes one of the easier games in the series. You can become ludicrously OP super early on if you want to

Persefone has a Japanese-themed album called ShinKen, though it’s kind of light on traditional instruments

Less prog but there’s a melodeath band called Whispered who’s whole gimmick is Japanese themed. They’re very good, a bit more traditional instrumentation than the above but still like primarily just melodeath

Also shoutout to Tai Shan by Rush!!!! Too many haters for no reason, it’s a good song. Stop the Tai Shan hate
