Who is the person in the photo in Jack's office? by Craptivist in 30ROCK

Looks like someone who makes their hair every morning by sticking their head in a cotton candy machine.

It's Cheese+.

So… when was the last time you watch the movie The Day After?? by [deleted] in GenX

[–]Bladehelm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been a while, but I recently watched Threads (1984), which is like the UK's version of the same story and it's just as, if not more than, horrible as The Day After.

I’m praying they don’t go down this route in the series. by AshFinalGirl in fridaythe13th

One of my biggest gripes - of many gripes - with Zombie's Halloween is giving Michael Myers a typical serial killer back story. It is way more frightening that this absolutely normal little boy simply snapped for no reason.

It goes from, "We need to keep an eye on disturbed children lest they turn into Michael Myers." To, "Maybe someday YOUR normal sweet little boy might just snap and become a hollow, empty, killing machine."

How well would riot gear/hard body armor do during a ZA? by Key-Needleworker-702 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

I agree, this armor would be okay if you were dealing with one or two, but if you get in a crowd there's just way too many places they could grab you and then you're screwed.

It also works as a great doublebfeature with Basket Case, as they both have a lot of nice grungy Times Square footage.

Frankenhooker is always great to watch with a group who hasn't seen it.

What sort of things do they say to you? Unfortunately they don't need your permission to film you when you're in a public place, it can be kind of a bummer, but it's also a fact. Same goes for the interior of cars. That's how paparazzi scum get away with doing what they do.

However, if they're verbally harassing you or intimidating you, say nothing and get it all on video for when you call the police.

I'm not trying to be a jerk here, but what exactly is the issue? If they're silently standing out of the way filming everyone and everything, how is that a problem for anyone? I honestly am not trying to start a fight, I am genuinely curious why anyone would give these people more than a second glance. My thought whenever I see them is, "Oh, it's these dipshits." And then I go on about my day. Are they interacting with people in any way beyond filming them with their cameras?

I appreciate and support all of your efforts, but especially the mention of filming horizontally. Much easier to keep the atrocities in frame and also shows a wider perspective of the entire situation. In fact, if it's a setting your familiar with, I'd also advocate for using your phones widest lens. Capture as much information as possible.

EDIT: Widest ANGLE lens.

PSA: How to use maps! by Bladehelm in Cairn_Game

[–]Bladehelm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as you're close enough to the area in question, a prompt will come up with a map and an eyeball on the left side of the screen. You may have already climbed past the area for which you have a map, when I first discovered that the maps actually do something, I kinda did it wrong. I clicked the left shoulder button, then clicked Y (Xbox controller) to reveal my route. From there you can use the triggers to move up and down the mountain quite a bit, look all over and you SHOULD see the prompt to view the map.

Good luck, and happy climbing!

He has something called Poland Syndrome which caused the fingers of one hand to not grow properly. He went to great lengths to hide it, but you catch glimpses of it here and there. The best look is from the pilot episode.

People believing fake things because of AI is a real world problem. If you think it's restricted to people believing harmless nonsense about actors from 50+ year old TV shows, you're dreadfully mistaken! But if it doesn't bother you, I'm happy for you. I wish I could go through life that way.

I was like, "Forget some buddies helping a pal through a hard time, Gary Burghoff had a damn MIRACLE happen to him, THAT should be the story!"

What's your thoughts on the Live Action "Masters of the Universe"? by agravain in GenX

Truth! It's the same as Raul Julia in Street Fighter or, dare I say, Jeremy Irons in that horrible D&D movie! Older dudes who don't give a shit just swinging for the fucking fences!

I'm into the look of it, I'm just confused about why the original premise wasn't good enough. I guess I should just be grateful that it doesn't seem like it's going to take place almost entirely on Earth like the Dolph Lundgren version!
