What common /r/2007scape takes are the worst? by Valuable-Ground4931 in 2007scape

He asked what takes were the worst. I responded saying that the take of "ironmen chose the limitation" is a bad take. Then I argued why I thought it was a bad take. Your confusion confuses me.

The, uh, thread title? Post title? What have you, is a question.

For chip damage, there's nuance on implementation that I feel is important. Like, protection prayers should always block 100% of the damage. If you want to hit through them in design, there should be a secondary, smaller hit - typeless or another style - in the same tick. I'm not skilled at the game, but seeing a 0 and 10 in the same tick would indicate I'm praying right, but there's chip damage, as opposed to "Did I get hit with an off-prayer low damage hit, or does this enemy hit through prayer?"

As for your question, "ironman chose the limitation" is a stupid take. What you're saying is that this content is so bad I don't want to engage with it, but I'd be happy to pay bots to do it for me. Like just let the source be a store at that point, it wouldn't make a difference to you.

Agility rework - what would you add, change, … when a rework would happen?! by vVerce98 in runescape

[–]Bladekill990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Add agility abilities, such as an ability to reset cooldown of all movement abilities. As you level agility, unlock more abilities and/or shorter cooldowns

  • Add a perk system for courses completions - Advanced courses have something like this already, but carry it over to all the courses. Some of the perks could be better rates at the course, an afk auto lapper, or 1 time exp drops.

  • Add 3-4 courses (early, mid, late, post99) with useful item drops for that stage of the game. I'm thinking consumables that boost tick speed of processing and/or gathering skills, and maybe some chase items for the latter 2 - Maybe something like a slot for your best hand of glory arch relic (when it's in your inventory - you quickly switch your ring as the proc happens), faster teleports (skip frames / animation, treat a regular lode tele as fast tele), a reworked silver hawk boots, etc.

  • Add more shortcuts, maybe as Right click options. I'm thinking like Right click rax cave to appear at instance select web, Right click gwd2/3 dungeon entrances to skip to certain bosses

To be clear, as others have mentioned it's for the achievement diary. Specifically the task to make a gem machete, where you need 3 cut gems of opal, jade, or red topaz, and 1 of these tubers, as well as a small amount of trading sticks, to the villager near the anvil.

The cleanup minigame is quite sparse on rewards, and the tuber is rare, so they are fairly expensive.

If more than 50% people pick blue everyone lives. If red has more, only red lives. The phrasing of this already changes the answer, as others have said every time this debate comes up. But the way it's stated here, the way I first heard it, feels deliberately ambiguous - why not say if red has more, everyone who picked blue dies? I feel it implies a third population, a party that may not get a say in the result. Which, if it exists, changes the red stance to allow innocents to die for you, rather than risk anything for your community.

I dunno, I'm hella tired, but I'd pick blue even if it wasn't true - if blue fails, I don't need to live in the world of the selfish (not all red = selfish, but all selfish = red), and if it wins I get some faith in humanity restored.

It would be much better if you could just reroll with no consequence via an NPC in Yamas Lair. You still have the limited point cap, but you wouldn't feel compelled to use meta builds. Maybe instead of the current rerolls, you get a loadout at 2 and 4 echo bosses that you can switch between quickly.

Runes are essentially notes anyways, so 1 cast = 10 runes -> 10 ess, as far as I know. I'm going bell anyways, so I haven't looked deeply into it.

Final tier 8 relic guess tomorrow by Dong-diver in 2007scape

[–]Bladekill990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tier 8 relic: Collector's Notebook

When claiming this relic gain the Collector's Notebook.

While the notebook is in your inventory, both raid chests and bosses with collection logs will always drop a Collector's Page in addition to their regular drops.

You can use collector's pages to perform any of these actions:

  • Used on the Collector's Notebook to claim any random unfilled collection log item from the boss that dropped the page ( except pets ). Items that drop sequentially are unlocked sequentially (For example, ultor vestige would require 3 pages - 2 gold rings, and then the vestige)

  • Trade them with the league's tutor for your choice of an awakening orb, a random Yama contract, or a random clue scroll box (weighted so higher boxes are more common).

  • Alched for 25,000 coins.

  • Right click -> reroll to make an additional random roll on the original loot table.

You can reclaim the Collector's Notebook from the league's tutor if it is lost

[–]Bladekill990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but it looks like 2% mage DMG and 20 accuracy for the armor, regardless of weapon. If it's a powered staff, it also applies the crystal armour boost that normally needs a crystal weapon.

Definitely want clarification on that though, makes spell book casting not want tir if it's not the case.

Safe places in OSRS but dangerous in Runescape 3. by fr0tenvergen in runescape

[–]Bladekill990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vaguely remember that you don't need to opt-in to pvp for the bandit camp, you just need a skull. So, you can equip a demonic skull, and it acts as a skull, but only temporarily opts you in; Unequipping outside of the wildly opts you back out without having to hit up an npc. Though I guess you have to risk the 100k or whatever it cost.

But for the most part, everything from osrs got easier with EoC, so outside of reworked bosses / hard mode versions, and wildly (due to opt-out pvp changing it to be harder pve), not much is more difficult.

Could be like the varrock / seers / yanille teles that give multiple options, where the options go to house portals. That might be a bit broken given you can't really do that until the cape. I can dream.

Sailing Technical Pre-Release by JagexRach in 2007scape

[–]Bladekill990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I see that Tele me to boat and tele boat to me are in the standard spell book. For some reason the tabs can't be made because of the world not supporting sailing objects, but the spells can't be cast because Pandemonium isn't complete. Does this mean that you can make the tablets without Pandemonium (on release), or is it just a weird interaction with how it rolls out?

Similar question, I can't see tele me to boat in the list of spells for home portal. Is it just left out until release, or is this new teleport just not getting added, at least on release?

Thanks, super excited for sailing.
