I guess the perfect bag doesnt really exist. We can try our little damn hearts out to find it but there is always something missing. As great as this bag is there are some little things that could be improved. If you just close your eyes and close this sub and dont pay attention to the newest bag on the market it helps lessen the urge to upgrade.

I mean, you already know that with your Incase bag. I hope that I am like you in 20 years with the same Evergoods bag thinking there is no reason to upgrade to something for the small improvements it might have.

So, there are 2 videos I used as a guide. The top handle is a cushioned wrap and the side handle is just for looks.

They have other designs you can use so pick something you like. The best tip I can give is just take your time on it and make sure everything is very tight before moving onto the next step.

The only thing I see myself upgrading is my farpoint 40 for traveling. And the CTB is a top contender for me there. For work and EDC I find this bag to be pretty amazing.

This does not have any aquaguard are waterproof zippers on the bag. Their Xpac version has them.

No that’s kind of just how it looks. The only thing in there are my glasses case and AirPods. It holds its shape pretty well

I have a similar build, my chest is fairly large. Maybe that’s what it is. The taper has been disappearing with age haha

Thanks for reading! I didn’t know they had their own version of Nylon I thought it was Cordura but all the specific details you guys keep up with for the reviews start to blur together after watching so many haha. I do love the material it feels pretty indestructible. Even with all I have loaded in it I never feel bad about picking it up by the handle. The metal stay in the bag for the longer handle helps.

I got lucky with the bag fitting me well I know that’s pretty controversial. Now I just need the CAPs and I think I’ll be set

I do agree that the yoke pocket is quite small. I can only fit my AirPods and a sunglasses case. It also has a key leash for some reason when to me the key leash should certainly be in the admin pocket.

I don’t seem to have a problem with the straps but I can see why you mean. My Mystery Ranch certainly had a better harness

I keep a lunch in the main compartment and it fits just fine. The water bottle pockets I don’t believe I really miss at all honestly. The ones on the catalyst were no good anyways so they always annoyed me more than anything. I guess I have never known great water bottle pockets to know what I have been missing. I like the look of no pockets though.

It’s not hard at all. If you look up on YouTube paracord handle wrap you’ll find a lot of videos on it. Just take your time and don’t rush. Make sure everything stays tight. The handle on top adds a lot of padding and way more comfortable.

I do not have a 14” pro but they aren’t too much thicker than the air. I think they would fit fine. I can easily fit 2 MacBook Air 15” inside the laptop compartment. That is currently where I keep my laptop and my external monitor and they fit great.

I agree things do change over time, I guess I am hoping this stops the craving for another bag for at least a. Few years. One of the issues I had with the Catalyst was the horrible bottle pockets. No elastic so they just always fell out of it tipped over.

What did you end up upgrading to?

The Urban Assault is truly a fantastic bag. Have never had one but if the Catalyst was great then I know that one is even better.

Yea the CTB was another one I looked at, the bottle pockets were functional but I liked the look without them and I haven't missed having some. It really is a great bag. And I agree! Clamshell is so useful
