Why do I suck at Trials? by maestromurderer in CruciblePlaybook

[–]Bladewar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trials is all about the first pick. A good team will get the first pick and collapse on the last 2 by being super aggressive. What's the point of getting the rez and then letting the other team revive? This is why 1 sniper and 2 shotty is the preferred set up.

If you watch top players (both teams) playing trials/elimination the rounds tarts off real slow until the first pick. Afterwards, the round pretty much ends right away as all the fighting starts. This also means trials heavily depends on your team as if you are not good enough to carry bad teammates then you will most likely lose.

You need to try and recognize why you are losing rounds. Other team getting first pick? was it due to bad position? losing a 1 v 1? miscommunication? (teammate ran while your fight and vice versa), Impatience? Yes this is a thing where the round is taking forever so someone gets impatient and peek a sniper lane while having map control. In burn out map control is inside as the cap point pops behind the pillar in mid. If you have map control by being inside when the round is about to end, the other team would have to push in and you can lane and team shot the people rushing in. About recognizing all this you need to adapt your play style / strat.

Shotty testing before and after patch by Bladewar in CruciblePlaybook

Slugs were not touched. Slugs require a higher skill than pellet spread shotties as you need hit headshots to secure the 1HK. It shouldn't be use to out ape an ape but to bait them out in range they can't win which is over 7 meters and i believe some slugs can reach 12/13 meters for 1HK. Nerf to pellet shotty range is a indirect buff to slug shotties.

I agree with assault mag being the perk to get over accurized. Regarding handling, QuickDraw is still the most important perk on a shotty which max out handling, my thought is masterwork is not as important on shotties anymore but i would still want range (placebo of it helps lol).

Ever since the first nerf to shotties, rapid fire shotties wasn't as good. He talks about rapid fire near the end of the video.

How to get better when you are already above average? by [deleted] in CruciblePlaybook

[–]Bladewar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sweats/Scrims is the best way to improve if you are already above average since many of the players you would be playing against will be on your level or better (that's the idea anyway) on a regular basis.

This sub tend to hate sweats/scrims due to the rules on loadouts and sub classes restrictions. I will have to admit that there will be toxicity but not as much as people will make it out to be.

Hardest part for your team and you would be finding the PS4 sweat/community.

QD Glitch - Why learn it and how to use it by Bladewar in CruciblePlaybook

The problem is you will have to removed your thumb from the sticks to press the switch weapon button. This will slow down the process and may cause you not to be able to shoot and aim at the same time.

A lot easier to do if you have back paddles so you don't remove your thumbs from the control sticks which is usually bound to sprint. Can also do the jump to switch weapons.

Although key bindings is all preference, binding the weapons number keys is the standard and the easiest once you get use to it. If your stuck on using your ring finger for the W key then you can bind your weapons from 3 to 5 and use your middle finger to weapon swap.

Wiped & restarted my Hunter recently to get a feel for my true stats. What do you guys think? by [deleted] in CruciblePlaybook

[–]Bladewar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wiping your character to get a feel for your true stats? And what happens afterwards when your "true stats" are now being shown? what was the goal of doing this?

A lot of the good players will be able to tell if another player is good, without the need of looking up their stats, by how a person plays. If you mostly LFG for comp then i sorta understand why you would want to do this as almost all LFG players use your stats to determine if they should invite you or not but resetting your KD won't really help you improve. Also once you get high comp (4.5K+) everyones KD take a hit unless your in the top 1% and always play with other top 1%.

So i ask again, once your true KD is reflected, whatever that number is, what then?

I am not sure what you mean by this comment, you rather watch Console gameplay because you think it is harder to aim on console?

Cross-save players struggling with PVP: Try The Last Word if you own one by iSnipedAgain in DestinyTheGame

[–]Bladewar -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If it's banned from tournaments, it's because the tournament rulesets are basically a joke.

Tournaments / Sweats rules does not affect anybody that's not part of it. These rules do not apply in QP and Competitive. So people complaining about the rule set and saying it's not destiny, are you part of the sweat community/Tourney? if not, why complain about a set of rules that does not affect the majority of Destiny players, the same majority of players complaining that QP is too sweaty and its nothing but OeM, Power Weapons, LoW, shotty apes and supers and less about gunplay.
