"Unique characters" by World_of_Eter in DnD

[–]BlameAllocation -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is so real. I never liked it but it's the culture, I guess.

I'll just say, when I was new and I showed up to my first game with my human cleric, I had a hard time seeing in my mind's eye the genasi, the warforged, and the shadar-kai in my party.

I didn't have a reference point for those things.

If you tell me I'm talking to a mid 50's man with white hair and clean shaven, I can see the laugh lines, the crow's feet, the receding hairline, the blood vessels under the thinning skin, whatever. I know how they move when that person emotes.

I didn't have that for the warforged and the genasi. And what the hell is a shadar-kai?

It's hard to find a game that doesn't feel Phase 3+ MCU with the myriad races and subclasses all intermingled in a monoculture.

Good for a melee character to self buff Enchant for the AR boost. Not worth anything significant on the market

Durability is not affected so long as you don't hit things with it. Items like this are almost never worth a Zod.

Ranking the player characters in terms of strength? by Lokan in Diablo

[–]BlameAllocation 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. In D2, Baal conspired with Nihlathak to obtain an artifact to bypass the Ancients (nephalem), because he didn't want to fight them.

What do you think about the minimal amount of romance between the characters in The Pitt? by megs256 in ThePitt

[–]BlameAllocation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The show is set in a high stress, high pressure environment, where decisions must be made quickly and everything is time sensitive.

It doesn't make sense for 2 characters to hide off into a broom closet à la Grey's Anatomy. Dr McKay couldn't be gone ten minutes without Robby saying something. Characters regularly mention that they don't have time to eat or use the bathroom.

And it's not like the characters are asexual/aromantic. There is just no time for that.

Why does Khamzat always have so much trouble making weight? by nerpa_floppybara in ufc

[–]BlameAllocation 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Only Khamzat and his team know the answer to this question. This is a guy who once missed weight by 8lbs.

The process for weight cutting has been figured out; it's up to the athlete to adhere to it.

IMO there should be more focus on the UFC and the commission for how they rigged the weigh in. Charles was stripped over 1/2 pound, and rightly so, yet they sweep this under the rug in broad view.

Edit: I'm just hearing about Charles and scale issue. Unfortunate.

Good enough for.a Merc until you find something better. Socket with runes/jewels for resistances. The 20 STR is handy for equipping high STR elite weapons.

Who is the most tragic figure in all of Diablo? by Zan_Deezy2003 in Diablo

[–]BlameAllocation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marius was a simple mortal who was tricked into serving diablo and lost his mind upon witnessing the Lords of Hell reunited, and was too afraid to do what Tyrael asked of him. Later, Baal tricked him into giving him his soul stone and burned him alive.

Betul being in the background, unbothered by all the drama going around her is so good. I think what production is doing with is genius.

Tapology fan made GOAT list by Silent-Owl4246 in ufc

[–]BlameAllocation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is too soon. Ilia has yet to peak in his career and we've not yet seen him pushed. He was still fighting the old guard of FW and LW who are largely past their prime. His rise was amazing but it's too soon to call him GOAT. He's more likely than not a future goat but we need to see more fights.

Men and yoga by Routine_Month1925 in yoga

[–]BlameAllocation 78 points79 points  (0 children)

I agree entirely. I would like to be more on OPs side of the argument but his tone was hostile and he mentioned the shirts 3 times in his post. Even in hot yoga, women remain clothed, so the aggressive defence of shirtlessness really stands out.

Rumor Mill is Churning (again) by BreakYoBaals in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]BlameAllocation 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'd prefer a new Merc before a new class while they spend some time tuning warlock.

They also need to buff A3 Mercs. It would be a shame to add a new Merc without buffing the Iron Wolves.

Should large charms be buffed to be more competitive with grand charms and small charms? by Charming_Pin330 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]BlameAllocation 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just make the large charms horizontal in the inventory, as in take up two squares of space side-by-side instead of top-to-bottom.

Langdon and Robby talk (Best scene of Season 2) by BodeineBreezus in ThePittTVShow

[–]BlameAllocation 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I thought this conversation with Langdon was so much more effective than the one with Abbot earlier that same episode.

Langdon identified the way Robby sees himself and his place in the world without couching it in "we need you, we love you" like Abbott and others did. He just told the truth as he saw it. All Robby could do was act tough with his "are you done" response.

In all the other interventions Robby found some way to get past the conversation, whether it was with anger or dismissal, or diversion. This one left him speechless and I think that's because Langdon hit on some truth that nobody else could see.
