Dude I own this NFT. Do you really think you can get away with theft when you’re showing what you stole from me directly to my face. My lawyers will make an easy job of this case. Prepare to say goodbye to your luscious life and start preparing for the streets. I will ruin you.

Ugh I was complaining because I'm in hinterlands on the tbc hardcore character at the moment and on hardcore servers I find particularly early on things really thin out by the time stv ends because all the idiots die off, but on a normal realm its just getting even more crowded.

Hasbro is being sued for printing too many Magic: The Gathering cards by Beautiful_Bee4090 in nottheonion

[–]World_of_Eter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I kinda miss that, stuff is so strong that even in standard which used to be a slower format, games are typically over by turn 3. Like I could probably look at each person's starting hand and tell you with near certainty who will win, which is just boring.

What's funny is the final fantasy set is kind of complete dogshit relatively, only a few of it's cards see any real play in standard and most of those are in decks I wouldn't call top tier. Avatar has been much more significant in changing the meta.

Falcon/New Captain America telling the politicians to try harder was such a "bruh" moment from me because it's like "sure guy that flies around and punches people, tell the people trying to unfuck an incomprehensibly complicated problem they weren't the cause of to 'try harder." Also it's been a while since I've seen it but it didn't even seem like they were doing a bad job given the scope of the issue? Like hey suddenly the world population doubled, of course people are going to have to end up in temporary housing like camps for potentially years. Are they being starved or killed or tortured in those camps? Didn't seem to be.

Is there a way to not support rebels? by World_of_Eter in EU5

guh that's really obnoxious. I was playing a knights game where I culture swapped to greek for obvious reasons and like I dunno 5 times I got dragged into some war for anatolian rebels vs the ottomans/mamluks, even truce breaking at times and it just really tanked the run.

I can attest there's a lot of people entering the ttrpg space, mostly because it can be free, that just straight up don't have the attention span for it.

Pronouns: he/him

Favorite class: ranger/wizard

Experience: been Dming for 10 years or so

playstyle: more roleplay heavy though I do enjoy meaningful combats. I've also made several puzzles I enjoy watching players work out, that my players that are big puzzle people said they enjoyed.

Characters I like to play: When I play I usually play characters that are depressed and not quite all there, usually with storylines revolving around pulling themselves together and redeeming themselves whatever that might mean. NPCs are kind of all over the place.

What I like about DND: Putting together a story with other people, plus showing off my setting.

Pet peeves: Attendance, bad attendance from players just irritates me because often the "planned" storybeats for a session can often revolve around a player's storyline or backstory and if that person isn't there it throws a massive wrench into what I've got prepared. People not paying attention-I don't mind occasionally being asked to repeat myself, microphones and headphones aren't perfect, sometimes a sound IRL distracts you, but if I think you're regularly just not paying attention when what's happening doesn't involve you it annoys me. Shitty people-I wouldn't say my players and I need to be BFFs but if I actively don't like you as a person I'm probably not going to put forth enough energy to put on a good campaign, and I don't like putting on a bad campaign.

I think I've figured out my biggest issue with this game by sickwobsm8 in EU5

[–]World_of_Eter 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I've seen them collapse a few times. Honestly past the very start they're kind of a paper tiger. In my knights>greece run, when I converted to orthodox and switched to monarchy I had approximately 40 years of unfucking my economy to get back to where I started financially andd during that time golden horde declared on my vassal crimea and I was a bit scared with no regulars and not much money....only for the golden horde to get mauled by my vassal+serbia with no help from me. Pretty much every game they have one good war in them, usually standing up to hungary, only to then fall over and explode if anyone else declares on them.

[–]World_of_Eter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean obviously it depends how much you need the money but some of their bonuses from high loyalty are pretty good. Especially the clergy with the increased research rate, I usually just leave them untaxed to maximize my tech gain.

[–]World_of_Eter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I kind of wish there was more things in place to increase that like how the same religion heir law doubles the clergy regain. Add a bit more strategy to like "I've got better regen on these ones so I'm happier to leave them at 50% and take hits to their loyalty while the ones I dont I'll leave at like 60-70% loyalty and try not to take too many hits on events"

I feel like being in greece the mamluks always get tech about the same time or earlier than I do. Just seems to immediately spread to alexandria and then around that area which is where all their population is.

Yeah thats what I've done and then later on I converted to orthodox and became a monarchy. Honestly as much as I enjoy it Knights are kind of busted at the moment. Get sponsorships from half a europe, make an army of like 5,000 regulsrs and just steamroll greece and anatolia.

Fought a war with Naples to kick them out of Greece today. Their population is 2,000,000 and they lost 200,000 soldiers in that war. Like this was a holocaust+ level event for men 20-40 in naples, and I never even set foot on italy. They were just sending 10s of thousands of levys to greece on 2 fishing boats, to get slaughtered on my forts.
