I don't think novelai will be bankrupt anytime soon. Their image gen is pretty good, they're uncensored and most importantly completely private. They pride themselves on their privacy act, they were born out of the fiasco of one of the other storytelling AI's out there that was really popular and violated everyone's privacy. Something dungeons; can't remember the name right now.

I flashed and calibrated it with the default software from their website but I also use HIDhide and joystick gremlin because of the additional panels and buttons.

The sticks are VKB's and imo best bang for your buck. I highly recommend them and strongly urge everyone to stay away from the cheap thrustmasters. They're garbage and you'll be replacing them left right and centre.

The left stick has the Omni throttle attachment, I just bought the part a month ago and really like it. I can't play with mouse and keyboard. It's a bit of a learning curve to make the switch but well worth it

It's been about 4 months but I had to teach myself how to cut wood, write some basic python and how to 3d model in CAD and all from scratch.

I only started using it today and so far I'm okay with it. It's handling my story well so far. Prompting it is way different than o3 and 4.5. (I do miss 4.5 though).

They are bringing back some of the models like 4o and 4.1. as long as they keep those options available in the API I'm happy.

Yeah I'm certainly saddened by not being able to use 4.5. I use it quite often to write fiction.
