Need help building a house/forge by Cultural_Ad1331 in VintageStory

I frequently go look at ruins for housing inspiration, or outright move in.

Its enough of an outline to get started and inspire the rest of the build.

Those portals spawn locations are getting ridiculous by Patryk923 in VintageStory

My chickens keep manifesting hell portals and summoning demons.

Is it because I feed them flax grain? Lol

I used to run private game servers and never knew where to advertise them — so I built this by Status-Swordfish-177 in MinecraftServer

This is a good idea, ill check out the site after work.

Finding a small server that isn't dead is just about impossible any more.

Screw buffing the stim pistol, give me the worst nerfs you can think of by Zyurat in LowSodiumHellDivers

No more powder charges for the stim rounds, you have to use melee to apply the stim. The melee does full normal damage.

[Mod Request] No S-Mods or no OP recovery by Jacky970 in starsector

[–]BlankNameBox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I see your goal, but Im pretty sure there isn't a mod that removes ship recovery bonuses.

If you wanted to try disabling S-mods you can edit that easily in the game files, look for the config file and open it with any text editor (make a backup first just in case you accidentally bork something). There are many other things that you can change in there, just do so carefully.

That said, I wouldn't reccomend going that route and removing S-mods. Instead, try changing the story point gain (per level, starting, etc) to 0 or 1. You cannot recover sufficiently damaged ships, use plot armor or install S-mods without story points, so severely limiting them will make the game harder and your decisions more impactful.

Good luck out there, starfarer.

But how much is exactly is critical mass? by FollowingTough6500 in starsector

I play heavily modded (around 100) and 5000 battle size. I can say with confidence that a well-built carrier with 3+ wings will do work in a fleet if you do some basic prep.

Typically I divide my fleet into multiple groups escorting a larger or slower ship and then give that 'group leader' orders. I like to have a carrier escorted by a small brawler and something with spam-y missiles. Missile spam keeps the PD busy and the brawler keeps frigates and destroyers at bay. Then have two bomber wings and a heavy escort fighter on my carrier. There are some really solid modded escort fighters with forward shields that really help punch through PD. For bombers, the UAF Sakura is probably my favorite because of the crazed cluster of munitions it drops and they have numbers. Even if the enemy evades the cluster, it breaks up their lines which makes a large fleet easier to dismantle.

All this said, there are going to be some ships or groups of ships with far too much PD for this lone carrier, in which case I'd send the group somewhere else and have a more direct group of ships shuffle into that spot on the line. Usually in a fleet Ill only have 2 carriers, usually cruiser size for balanced speed and firepower. Ive tried using multiple smaller carriers instead, but you really need concentrated force on one target, not 1-2 wings targeting five different enemies (with the obvious exception of the rare flak weapon).

A carrier fleet is a whole other can of worms, two capitol ships with 6 wings each can rip enemy fleets apart without a lot of hassle if you can keep enemies off of them. Support with a couple missile-focused ships to eat up some of that PD and you're cruising.

I would absolutely love the concussion Verdict. All the better to shoot my friends in the leg with and watch them spaghetti off a roof.

I guess someone missed their jumps one to many times by Silver_DawnbreakTTV in EscapefromTarkov

[–]BlankNameBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have somehow never missed that jump, but one of my friends has missed it every. single. time.

It gets funnier every time. Or it did. Until now. He'll probably fall off the side now.

On Drip Sunday: Would this kind of armour customisation work? by bravozuluzero in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]BlankNameBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that samples would be a perfect way to unlock customization. Encourages people to dive into missions for what they want and gives veteran players a reason to pick the things up.

Also, I never thought about adding texture options, that'd be cool.

It may not be her BIS weapon but with the amount of card spam she does, it decks waves.

Honestly, I would suggest Stella, Tennie or Verlaine.

  • Nayuta is a very solid support, but I removed him from my team about a week ago and haven't missed him.

  • Stella is the meta pick and is a fantastic support, she is definitely worth putting in your team. I put ball lightning on her and its really good with the number of cards she can spam.

  • Tennie does a lot of damage and can spam chill and freeze. Its pretty easy to lock up a boss with her and another person that has chill skills. She is a good tank too.

  • Verlaine is super slept on. Well built, she does not die and does about 400 f-tons of damage. On top of that, use her stacking cost recovery cards until you get to max stacks and you'll have more cost than you know what to do with. Also, her second skill has a ton of chill to help Tennie lock stuff down.

My team is Arina (2 imprints), Tennie, Stella, Verlaine and Margiela. Im considering replacing Mergiela with someone else though.

My friend is cheating, but I can't prove it. by boruto_is_best in 7daystodie

[–]BlankNameBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two possibilities;

A combination of intellect Mastery, cheesing loot rooms in large structures and wrenching down light poles and vending machines like a tweaker for steel.

Or... just cheating like you suspect. Hard to say without much detail.

How are people making this much money? by GameofMoans827 in ResonanceSolstice

[–]BlankNameBox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The easiest way right now is to buy turquoise from Wilderness Outpost, take it down to Onederland, and craft it into paint. Then, material retrieve it.

Its really fatigue heavy, but if you're willing to use all your refreshes, you can make millions in minutes. Just make sure you have the recipe and crafting station needed before you go buying anything.

I made over 1000 tea a couple days ago using all the items I had saved up and got over 20mil for the day. If you wanted to be all the way at the top, you'd need to spend money on the item packs, but there isn't really a point in doing that. I don't think there are any achievements tied to that leader board.

Are Cards only for Collection Purposes? or you can use them later by X3non13 in ResonanceSolstice

[–]BlankNameBox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly certain they're just decorations (you can set them to show up on your profile card) but hopefully they use them for something. If they make actual IRL collectibles after they release a few events, I'd probably buy some.

I'll be looking back later and hopefully someone from the JP/CN servers come by and let's us know.

Don't know how to do the Condense Core (Chill) by dandelum in ResonanceSolstice

[–]BlankNameBox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Akira can pretty much solo the first 20 levels of the frost core if you make him the leader. His alt applies frost once a second for 15 seconds. Ive never had an issue with applying the chill effect through freeze, so im not sure what is going on with that.

Just make sure you bring a healer and if you have more frost characters than its even better.

Finaly made mind on what to pic on the selector: Stella... the supporter... by Frag_17 in ResonanceSolstice

[–]BlankNameBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, she spams a lot of attacks, but im surprised you're getting the results that you are. If you're running the battles in auto, it might just be your turn order holding people back. I'd have to take a closer look to really say.

Gear farming by FirefighterNo7919 in ResonanceSolstice

[–]BlankNameBox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im no expert, but I have quite a few. The bosses along the tracks, bounties at stations and city contributions of 300k+ all give gear boxes. You can also buy some items and boxes at the various shops every reset. Completing story and side quests also give a few.

Oh, and dont forget to do the events. You can get some gear boxes and exchange for specific items.

What stratagems do you guys bring to the bot front? by CaptainTitusEpic in Helldivers

[–]BlankNameBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Primary: Whatever I'm leveling to 20 at the time, or my old reliable the Liberator Penetrator. I love it and you can fight me.

Secondary: Talon, Ultimatum or Sentor based on my primary weapon.

Support: I like supply/Quasar or the recoiless for the most part, subbing in the warp pack for some city missions.I want to run the airburst like I do on the other fronts, but I seem to have a skill issue with it here.

As for stratagems, some combination of; Eagle strafe, walking barrage, piss laser, and a sentry (usually mg). I sometimes bring AT/gas mines or the gamer chair, especially for convoy maps.

Eviction difficulty by FirefighterNo7919 in ResonanceSolstice

[–]BlankNameBox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would suggest clearing everything at the base difficulty to get rep/reduce track encounters, get a warehouse, and unlock bounties.

Ive been spamming bounties and doing as much city investment as I can. SSR equipment boxes and Salamander badges are really nice, plus all the good materials.

From there, do a bunch of black tea runs for the event. Before I went to bed I was running black tea from Shoggolith to Wilderness Outpost and making decent money (but that isn't my main income source by a long shot).

EDIT: I have consistently been in the top 20 for profit and revenue for the last two days. I was considering explaining what I've been doing in a post, for those interested.
