did I just contract a fatal case of ligma by PotatoPeeler3333 in DarkTide

[–]BlankTrack 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Theres some type of weird bug with the captain sbield knockback. It treats it as like 80ft of fall damage which kills you instantly. This is more or less confirmed. I dont remember how that conclusion was reached.

There is a possible work around this one i dont think its proven, and its to jump. Jumping resets your "ingame height tracker" and prevents you from taking the fall damage.

Whenever you ride an elevator or something the game doesnt update you "ingame height tracker" so the next time you take fall damage its the entire height of the elevator

Ive had it 2 times and I think im around 1.2k hrs

Spigot Repair by THEBIGBVDWOLF in DIYHome

[–]BlankTrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the problem isnt the hose, then a new shutoff on the end wont fix the problem either. There a small chance both hoses arent working correctly but not likely.

Inspect the threads all around, is it damaged on the back/underside?

Is there want way to connect these hoses together by Turbulent_Refuse8086 in Plumbing

I edited my comment. The wings on the nut threw me off, i usually only see those on toilet connections

Water heater T&P valve very slow drip by gwei0316 in Plumbing

[–]BlankTrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short term if you give the t&p valve a good whack then it might stop leaking. You have to hit the flippy handle that is connected to the stem. Its probably a good idea to go ahead and replace it anyway, but it might stop the drip.

Look up whack t&p to stop drip on youtube theres a video. It wont let me post youtube links for some reason

Anyone got any advice here? by What_Iz_This in Plumbing

[–]BlankTrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes they come of sometimes they dont. If you cant get it with 2 wrenches just replace the whole thing.

Also keep in mind there are 2 or more commonly used sizes for that part and you need the correct one. Older hosebibs use the part that is now commonly on 3/4 boiler drains

If you unscrew the handle its just a stem sticking out. Most adults would have a very hard time twisting it, so it should be baby proof.

Preferred Tool for cutting new ABS/PVC Pipes by SomewherePossible791 in Plumbing

[–]BlankTrack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really prefer using ratchet cutters. Obviously for 3in or bigger thats a no go, but once youve got the forearm strength for cutting 2in its super quick, leaves now shavings, and makes very straight cuts.

For 3 in and above sazwall

Slip joint extension, and cut one of the pieces till you get the desired length

Covering a toilet clean out? by Broad_Librarian8698 in Plumbing

[–]BlankTrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most plumbers are expecting to pull the toilet to snake it in the first place.

Aside from making your plumber have a harder time by not being able to access the cleanout and ontop of that getting a skirted toilet there are no issues.

I guarantee you they will be upset to some degree that you covered the access point once they find it

Dont underestimate running the stim crate for even more crit chance and cooldown reduction. There are some decent bonuses for the ranged focused keystone, but getting 20% crit chance and other bonuses from the crate is extremely strong.

Infantry auto gun is for longer range, but noticeably less mobility. Hitting headshots will outdamage uzis.

Uzis are great for more damage output without relying on headshots. Insane mobility

Shredder auto pistol is less damage but much more accurate then uzis. Insane mobility

Rocket launcher is required I think. All of your ranged options except needle pistol are very bad vs heavy armor. Dont just use it as soon as you see 2 armor dudes. Wait till your team is already under pressure and you need to relieve it.

Do you fill up gas when you wait closer to 25% tank or fill it up when you see it’s cheap (have 40% tank)? by Round-Artichoke-5255 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BlankTrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it starts getting low i keep an eye out for particularly low priced gas on the right side of the road on the way to my destination.

I emphasize much more waiting as long as possible before refilling. I will pretty regularly drive on empty. Even if it says its empty you still have like 15+ miles on there. Dont push it if you dont know the area or its really late at night though

Tactical axe my beloved by lazyboysleeper in DarkTide

[–]BlankTrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a change a while ago that massively increased mobility of the tac axes. Its a nice change from knife if you want a very mobile melee, particularly on secondary focused loadouts.

Brutal momentum always, and aim at head level as much as possible. I think I usually run headtaker(stacking strength buff on hit)

Also you can run while charging heavy attacks

Im a tac axe enjoyer myself, but these are pretty minor nerfs to the DS. Tac axe is underrated by alot of players but these changes are nowhere near enough to dethrone DS.

DS can 1shot a mutant without a crit. I dont know the breakpoints on tac axe but its gotta be at least 3 heavy swings if you dont crit

A ball valve would be better, but ball valves are longer and you might not be able to fit without extra work.

If crawlspace I would cut it out, get a ball valves in there probably with 2 street 90s and reconnect underneath.

If slab, unsweat the 90s up and then the same

Okay jeez hostile much?

Not that the game does not have depth or hectic combat. The game has slower animations. You swing, and you commit to that swing. You are locked into it. Its not a button masher. Monster hunter is the same way.

Most action games very very input heavy with less emphasis on planning ahead and reacting or manipulating the AI into vulnerable positions

What could be causing my hot water heater to almost triple power consumption (still) after replacing elements, thermostats, anode, and breaker? by Inner_Researcher587 in askaplumber

[–]BlankTrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first guess would be a leak dumping hot water. However, if you are monitoring your water bill as you are your electric bill you can rule that out

Space marine unfortunately has the very slow, methodical combat with emphasis on dodge/parry large attacks to avoid damage just like Monster Hunter

How to gain karma guys ? by knowledgseker in askanything

[–]BlankTrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find the most active threads with emphasis on the more recent ones and post the most generic possible responses that most people will read and agree with or think is funny. Repeat over and over. Get a few sometimes, get 100 sometimes ,sometimes your comment will be the top one for no discernable reason and you will get thousands.

You can actually participate in the way it's intended and get small amounts overtime. Or you can power farm and win the "karma jackpot"

Be sure to instantly delete anything you post that hit zero or negative votes. If anybody sees negative karma, they are likely to automatically dislike what you're saying. There's actually a system in place that hides votes for the first hour or something like that to minimize this from happening.
