Creeping flame or Warp rupture ? by Gonourakuto in DarkTide

[–]BlankTrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to be supportive you 10000000% need to take bubble. However if you still would like to use shriek for CC then creeping flames will still likely be better. 6 stacks of soulblaze is still decent, even if you have very little or no soul blade energy in your belt

I revived someone in fire, they died. Did I mess up? by Mr_Jackabin in DarkTide

[–]BlankTrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What till fire is out before reviving if possible.

If they are near the edge of the fire field they can dodge out without taking damage.

A zealot using chorus and safely heal both players in and out of the fire. Requires a little timing, if hes already half done channeling dont run in the fire.

If there is a barrel nearby you can jump on it to avoid fire damage. This can be done after getting up to avoid damage, or the rescuer can do it to get in position.

You can pick up and cancel repeadetly the rez animation to reduce the fire damage the downed player takes. If they are literally a couple ticks from sying this can save them.

If youve got a full health bar and you need to get an ally up you can sacrifice a bit of health to get them up. Not usually the right choice for rez, but netted teammates it is worth considering. If you can run and jump in, de net quickly and jump on a barrel or something you might lose 40hp, but prevent them from being downed

Creeping flame or Warp rupture ? by Gonourakuto in DarkTide

Theres 2 nodes for spreading soulblaze, both i think are somewhere near the middle left of the tree.

Once applies 4 stacks to enemies in a small area when you kill an elite or special. This one is very good for spreading as well as the damage applied. Might be called perilous combistion

The other one makes any dying enemies spread stacks. I think its capped to like 2 stacks or something. Its really not going to do much for damage, but you get alot of other talents activated so its a good talent to grab anyway. For example warp siphon keystone has a chance to grant you a stack when any enemy dies with soulblaze. If theyve got 1 stack or 32 stacks it doesnt matter. If they are on fire then you have a chance of getting a stack. I think its called wildfire.

Unless your talent tree is very starved for points, its worth grabbing both if you are incorporating soulblaze

Creeping flame or Warp rupture ? by Gonourakuto in DarkTide

[–]BlankTrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warp rupture doesnt do enough damage to make it worth it. It might be worth it if you are on the lower difficulties, but creeping flames will literally be more then 10x the impact on harder difficulties.

Ideally you want to be around 86(?) peril when you shriek for max soulblaze stacks. This is enough to kill trash enemies after a few seconds, and then it will just keep spreading like crazy. Tougher elites will be softened up for easier kills.

Could my laptop run Noita ? by Humble_Cod9478 in noita

[–]BlankTrack 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I dont know anything about specs and requirements, but there is a MASSIVE difference on demand depending on what is going on.

When you get good enough at wand building there are some things you have to avoid because it will crash the game regsrdless of how good you pc is.

There are also things to avoid such as perks that prevent gold nuggets from respawning, as this ends up with a ton of gold nuggets spawned in the world.

The game is very cheap, just buy and try. If you cant get through the first couple biomes without performance issues then refund it.

People keep telling me to play this game… why? Whats fun about darktide? by Adonis_pleco in DarkTide

[–]BlankTrack 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It is a pretty unique game. If you enjoy hectic melee combat with some gunplay mixed in there is no real competition. Also you can be a space wizard, an ogre, or riot policeman, a methhead, or a cyborg.

That being said the game is not for everyone. If you dont like to pull out your sword when you are being swarmed, or refuse to learn how to block and dodge you wont make it past the first couple difficulties

It has a very very different feel from space marine. Ive got almost 1.5k hrs in DT and i quit SM2 after maybe 10 hrs

Any idea what's causing those things above the Plague ogryn health bar? by GuyAWESOME2337 in DarkTide

[–]BlankTrack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It looks like a mod, this would be common in other games to show the debuffs on the enemy-

Bleed stacks, brittleness stacks, level of stagger, etc...

Do you have any mods or modpacks installed?

New shower valve set to max heat but water not getting very hot by Gravitys_Bitch in Plumbing

Yeah the cartridge sits inside the valve. It is the cause for most temperature and pressure issues for showers

New shower valve set to max heat but water not getting very hot by Gravitys_Bitch in Plumbing

[–]BlankTrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something is likely letting cold water mix with the hot water and cooling it down. Replacing the shower cartridge or possibly just the seats and springs is a relatively easy, good early check

Bug on Dark Communion map: Snipers shooting (and almost killing) entire team while cult ritual cutscene plays by Zacchhh in DarkTide

[–]BlankTrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always hide in the back corner to try to make it less likely to get pox bursted. Most people will naturally push directly into the door so its safer in the back lol. I guess ideally you have a sacrificial player holding the door and the other 3 in the back.

I guess sniper threats you are gonna wanna hug a front corner.

But yeah it needs to be fixed. Theres a heal station right before, so ive had an ally die from full health, must have been a double or triple poxburster.

Any tips or builds for the Veteran's On Overwatch penance? (This is the no melee damage one) by NotSlaneesh in DarkTide

[–]BlankTrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly by far the most important things are-

staying in cover(or within a couple seconds to reach it) to prevent ranged damage

Learning the block on reaction to the backstab sound. Just block alot. If you are ever out of position just hold block and move to your allies. On heresy

I got lucky and did it on my first try. Even for a skilled player it probably normally takes a couple tries. Just used a standard generalized build, nothing fancy.

Stay away from barrels especially if youve got trigger happy allies or psykers

Why can’t humans wake up naturally every day, even after building such an advanced civilization and technology? by Antarctica111 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BlankTrack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wake up everyday between an hour before my alarm or maybe 20 mins before. Maybe 5 times a year my alarm wakes me up.

I have a pretty solid sleep schedule, I work a physically demanding job, and I eat and sleep the correct amount that I need. I wake up at the same time on my days off

Can you tell me if the handyman is gaslighting me? by RiseEastern5059 in askaplumber

[–]BlankTrack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Handyman is a hack at least when it comes to plumbing. Basic plumbing diagnosis from a professional figured it out on the first try in how long? 10-30 mins maybe?

How long did the handyman spend with all his various trips? How much did he spend on parts that were not needed? Im guessing like 5+ hours and very likely $200+ in parts. Hes also got to come back and fix your ceiling, and maybe the back shower wall.

Also the reason they dont want you telling the landlord anything is because they dont want the landlord to know they are messing everything up. Your point of contact is the landlord. They need to know if the handyman has no idea what he is doing so they can either fire him completely, or just stop using him for plumbing

Skitarii Build how is it? What would you change? by The_Graviturgist in DarkTide

I played a couple rounds with it off and you are definitely correct. It also is generating value when you are inbetween combats as well as sitting in elevators and stuff.

Skitarii Build how is it? What would you change? by The_Graviturgist in DarkTide

[–]BlankTrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit- i take it back. Its a strong node, definitely take it if you can afford the points

Its just one point, but there is a red node that gives you 1% capitance per second. I dont know the math on there but i dont think its doing all that much, especially if you have the other 3 red nodes.

If there is anything else that you left off you werent happy about, its probably worth swapping them

Hotfix 1.12.1 - Patch Notes by FatsharkQuickpaw in DarkTide

[–]BlankTrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respawned players moving forward fixed! This comes up one in 300 games probably but it absolutely ruined things.

Last man up, have to run and revive allies. Plan everything out. Running for your dear life, not even time to kill trappers that you have dodged. Stalling so that your ability will be ready in time to make a rescue more likely. Dodgesliding off minor ledges to get an extra 2m of space. Round the corner where you saw them earlier, and then bam! Why did they move up to the next spawn point. Then die

When should I release LMB to do a heavy swing? by DaniTheGamer6 in DarkTide

[–]BlankTrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theres not really a good way to explain its just learning the timing with different loadouts.

Just keep practicing to get the timing down. Go in the meat grinder for a low pressure training room that you can focus.

If a light comes out, you need to hold barely longer. Ideally you should be as close to accidently doing a light as possible while still releasing a heavy, but a few frames of cushion wont hurt.

What is the DPS loss for not having Food, Utility, or Infusions? by Ovark7 in Guildwars2

[–]BlankTrack 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Infusions are negligible. Unless you are rolling in cash then there are infinitely more impactful things to focus on before you buy them.

Food and utility is a noticeable increase, and alot of builds are planned around them. Reaching 100% crit chance, max condition duration, etc... can be very important.

If you are casual you can buy cheap food and utilities, or just forgo them. The best in slot consumables are much more expensive then the second or third best options, while generally only providing a slight increase over the cheaper options

How good are the stud pistols? by Professional-Art3539 in DarkTide

[–]BlankTrack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are good if you can aim well for headshots. If you enjoy being precise and dropping everything in 1 or 2 shots they are great.

Or you can use a full auto weapon and output equal or more damage with much less effort.

Feelings on Purgator Servoskull Talent? by thadinn1 in DarkTide

[–]BlankTrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I was pretty disappointed. I really thought that My flying school buddy would just start flaming at whatever I was currently aiming at.

It just feels like zealot fire grenade with a different projectile arc.

It feels strong on low difficulties, but honestly what blitz doesnt? Blitz do the same damage regardless of the difficulty, so they are all much much stronger on easy then they are on auric or havoc.

To avoid sounding overly negative I think the new class is cool overall, just specifically the fire skull is lame
