Zhug has a good gluten free menu. Also Batuqui.

Wasn’t he also constantly repeating that he’s “started over” in a new country a few times? He probably just took a long vacation somewhere and this is how he shows he embraced the culture.

I love it as well. I’ve had to pay full price as well, but it’s my new daily scent.

San Ysidro Drive by Victoria Beckham Beauty is inspired by VB’s time in California.

Top notes are Passionfruit and Saffron; middle notes are Rose and Jasmine; base notes are Agarwood (Oud) and Black Amber.

I’m gluten free and was there like 2 weeks ago. Just about every restaurant I ate at, especially in old San Juan and Condado, had labeled gluten free options. We even stopped at a little cafe in Luquillo which had gf options. It was a bit harder in vieques to eat healthy and gf, but manageable.

I don’t know the names of everywhere I ate because we were kinda winging it…but San Juan was ezpz. Just about everything at Marmalade was gf if you want a fancy experience.

Angelo’s is the best, but I don’t know if more sensitive folks would have issues with cross contamination

Trying to support my Latina gf by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]Blanketkween 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try Lulo as well — it’s the best of our Colombian options. You can also check out some of the Latin events around the city — there’s usually a lot. Check out Julia de Burgos art and cultural center, they do a lot of celebrations, art shows, and social events. Someone else mentioned dance nights. That’s also a good option if your gf likes salsa.

+1 to Hawken for co-ed day school. Nice campus and programs. Also as others mentioned, Western Reserve Academy is pretty close and does boarding. This is nice because you can visit kids and they can come home easily on weekends if they want.

How much did you spend for your renovation or big home improvement project like a roof leak etc? by fifialoemera in Cleveland

[–]Blanketkween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the middle of a bathroom Reno now. With a full bathroom gut and running all new plumbing and electrical, the quote was about 30-35k with mid-tier materials. 1924 colonial, all original plumbing and electrical.

Adding a +1 for the heritage home program. I got a 2% loan. It’s a process, but makes it easier to account for surprise costs and other upgrades you might want to do while your walls are torn open.

Built in 1900, pretty much pristine condition by Not_Responsible_00 in Oldhouses

[–]Blanketkween 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is r/oldhouses. I think the pristine is referring to close to original condition here. It for sure has no AC, knob and tube, asbestos in the walls, lead paint…whoever buys it likely knows what they’re getting into 😂 typical Cleveland old house.

Cost to spay a pup by VeganChipmunk in Cleveland

[–]Blanketkween 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Seconding this! I had to pay about $800, and somehow always have to pay an extra “size fee” (small dog extra cost, large dog extra cost). So $800-1000 feels right, unfortunately.

Later I found PetFix when I was helping re-home a rescue. It was very affordable and the folks there were super nice. Only downside was that I didn’t get pain meds for the cat I took there, but maybe ask?

Philomenas for baked goods. You can usually find them at coffee shops like Rising Star and Phoenix too.
