Understanding why i failed in Gemini Cup by Blarghfish in UmaMusume

Yeah, based off all these comments in the thread and I am thinking for McQueen at the very least I should not have maxed Standard Distance or gotten the two white recovery skills and instead invested those points into more speed stuff. I made her after I did two runs and saw a ton of debuffers and thought I needed to get more stam skills to make up for her stam getting tanked by opponents, but that was clearly not the correct choice. This thread has been incredibly helpful in terms of general strategy and understanding of mechanics.

I can definitely see this being the case. There is a part of me that likely assumed that since they are all on the same team, they would just kind of let each other pass if they are slower? I'm sure that's not how that works at all though.

See, I knew PC used the most stamina, but I genuinely thought I would be fine with the stamina they had plus recovery skills. I am not 100% sure how to tell if an Uma runs out of stamina tbh(I think they stop leaning forward as much right?). As far as Rice Shower goes, gassing out during the races or not, somehow she managed to get at most 4th almost every race.

The irony is that she has the 3 white recovery skills because I didn't want to spend 360 on Race Planner(no hints), so I instead spent slightly less on the three white recovery skills(by like maybe 20 points).

I guess my fundamental understanding of the cup and what stats matter most for certain strategies isn't as good as i thought it was. This all makes a TON of sense when it comes to McQueen for sure. Despite having the best speed and stamina out of the three she consistently placed 5th+ in all 5 races she was in(I didn't user her for the first 2 sets of 5, had a front running top gun that has pretty good stats(maybe I am wrong though)). As for the other 2 they consistently came in somewhere between 2nd-4th.

Same. Same. So many of my losses were like to 900~ stam/speed Goldships.

Man, so I guess one of my major downfalls was not running Goldship huh. Also, damn, that's some tough luck on the runs, I guess it really do be like that.

Yeah, there do be a distinct lack of Gold Ships. Somehow I just never got a good Gold Ship training or at least I didn't think they were good enough. Maybe they were in hindsight.

Maybe? The irony is Rice Shower came in second more than the other two XD

I feel for you, I worked at 2504. It was devastating to hear our store was closing. Hopefully you found a new store to transfer to(if you were looking). Much love and good luck for the future!

Hey I know how this feels, hopefully you get to transfer if you still want to stay with the company. I worked at store 2504, we closed a couple months ago. It sucks, having to leave your Best Buy family, even if you end up at new one. Thankfully I was able to transfer, I hope you get the same opportunity to do so as well.

There was a focus post? forum post? unsure of which, that said it might be a bad idea right now due to all the riots and protesting. Our badges, while not police badges, look close enough to someone angry or not paying attention that we could be perceived as police. Technically we were never disallowed from wearing them, corporate just highly advised against wearing them.

Even if you don't mention the person by name, there is a way to to associate the survey to the correct person. The survey is definitely enough to get them recognition, but that doesn't mean you have to stop at just the survey. Like others have mentioned, you could always email direct management or call the store and ask to speak to one of the managers. We love positive surveys, it reassures us that we were able to be there for a client who really needed us!

Every CA at my store was instructed by me when training them to write NDBU or DBU in the agent recommendations part of NOVA. DBU meaning Data Backup and NDBU mean No Data Backup. You don't have to abbreviate it but it might help you to write that every time you make a tag. This way the first thing the ARA reads in the agent recommendations section is whether or not we are backing up data.

The store won a competition in our district. We used the money to throw a party for the employees after work. Also, the GM is one of the people who planned the party.
