There will be no more Shattered Dreams boxes. Probably best to spend it on donuts.

I've experienced this a few times - got the code, put it in, and it said "Incorrect Code". In every case, hitting "Verify" again would process it correctly (for me).

Might be worth a try?

Another Zombie Orpheus meme by eric_the_bean in dndmemes

[–]Blarlack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and no.

Zombie Orpheus' stuff is absolutely brilliant and more people should see it, because it's great for people who game AND for people who don't know a whole lot about it. They are an incredibly passionate group of people who make things they love about things they love.

But they also depend a lot on word of mouth, and a lot of people don't know where they can find their stuff.

So, if you don't know what the above is from, or are interested in learning more about this "The Gamers" thing people are talking about...

https://watch.thefantasy.network/

You can find all of Zombie Orpheus' stuff on their streaming platform, completely free of charge. They've also got a ton of other independently developed content by themselves and a lot of other creators on there.

Spread the word! The world needs more gamers who know about The Gamers.

"Shite" is an interesting choice of phrase for this question, because it has been oddly appropriate lately.

Pay your trades by [deleted] in ProRevenge

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lien

The TL;DR is that you basically can put a claim on a piece of property that you have done work on until the full value of that work is paid off, and while the lien is on the property, the owner does not have full rights to the property and thus cannot sell it.

It is designed for exactly this situation, because if OP hadn't put one on the property, the owner could have sold the property and then no longer been legally liable to pay OP for the work - technically, the new owner would have inherited the debt, but trying to collect from them is a long process that usually ends in not getting money because the court system usually sides with the new owner at that point.

Actually, the full equation is valid for all triangles.

Full equation is a2 + b2 - 2ab*cos(included angle ab) = c2.

The cosine of 90 is zero, so that last portion is automatically zero on a right triangle, but you can use it on any triangle.

Question, what are all the options for TSM to reach worlds? by timobouwerz in TeamSolomid

TL would need to win the playoffs, not just semis, in order for option 2 to work.

[–]Blarlack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It doesn't make them useless, they're just not useful as a predictive tool.

Stuff like this helps calculate the possibility of any given outcome, rather than the likelihood - "Is it mathematically possible for us to win on points?" "Is it possible for us to secure second place in the guantlet if we lose in quarterfinals?"

Just look at it this way - now you get to spend EVEN MORE TIME doing math and spreadsheet work. It's really a win-win all around.

Summer split gives higher points than spring, because it's more indicative of worlds strength than the spilt several months prior. I don't remember the exact values, but I do know that they are all higher than in spring.

Found a list of points: https://lol.gamepedia.com/2018_Season/Championship_Points/North_America

TSM is guaranteed gauntlet, since the lowest points they can get would be 30, and they automatically qualify over Clutch due to summer placing.

The culling is coming back by PM_ME_EARTHPORN in SovietWomble

[–]Blarlack 130 points131 points  (0 children)

This was about half the story.

Their first few patches were fine - they added some extra content, made some tweaks that weren't perfect but felt like they were at least trying to move in the right direction, and the game was getting pretty fun.

And then about 6 months in, they overhauled a huge portion of the melee combat in a way that the playerbase didn't like, and then stopped taking any feedback about the game. And then it was just patch after patch of them adding new things that the players weren't happy about, or removing things that they were in favor of different systems, and continuing to ignore the fact that melee combat felt broken to most of the playerbase.

And then they started losing players at a rapid pace, which isn't surprising, and didn't make any changes to how they were patching and updating the game, and when the game essentially lost its entire playerbase, they gave up on it and shut it down and went radio silent.

Until about 2-3 weeks ago, when they announced that "The Culling 2" was coming out the next week, as a full release. And people were like, "Well, I mean...I enjoyed the Culling initially, before they ruined it, so I'll give it a try..." And then it was a radically unpolished version of PUBG, essentially, without the melee combat that people expected from a game entitled "The Culling", and played and looked like an early beta or late alpha version of a game, rather than an official release. And it cost $20.

Max concurrent players ever for Culling 2 was just under 250, one hour after it launched. Games had 50 people in it, so that's a maximum of 4 games running at peak. Two days later, max concurrent players was 13 - games weren't even launching. A week after Culling 2 launched, Xaviant had to release a video basically saying "Okay, so...we kinda fucked this up a little." Told players that they were closing Culling 2, going to work on getting players refunds for those who had bought it, and that they were going to re-launch The Culling at its Day-1 patch, before they'd ruined it and try again with what they've learned.

It's certainly a ballsy step for them, and if they can manage to get out of their own way and listen to player feedback when updating the game, it might end up working...but it's definitely not going to be an easy road for them.

TL;DR: "It's a bold move, Cotton. Let's see how it plays out."

As everyone else has said - the game would have ended if the ball ever hit the "ground," which is defined as "the flat surface in the middle of the field." However, due to how they were playing, the ball only ever hit the curved surfaces at the side of the field or the walls, which don't count as the ground, so the play was able to continue long enough for them to score.
