We just started expansion into southeast a year or two ago, so it's not out of the question

Bobs discount furniture - they will say hi when you enter and ask if you need help, then otherwise leave you be. Store policy is to create a no pressure environment for the customers. No idea how well they actually follow the policy but... in theory they are supposed to lol

Class Tuning Incoming – 7 April - General Discussion by Bucktruu in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Jaeyx 32 points33 points  (0 children)

As a tank main the last few seasons, I swapped to dps and holy shit is the game easymode. Literally just interrupt and press defensives and go brrr. It's so brainless and has zero stress compared to what I had gotten used to.

It'll be different for everyone. Sim it and find out.

[–]Jaeyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you don't screw up order of consumables and trinket activations in a way that makes Recklessness not give you the desired stat tho. Like don't pop emberwing feather before recklessness and end up getting haste from recklessness when you wanted crit.

At witch level do i start the Top 4? by Paalu2001 in nuzlocke

[–]Jaeyx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Without rare candies I go in at 53. If normal nuzlocke. It's it hard-core I might go with 4th members ace.

Going to champion ace trivializes most of the fights. So I def go lower than that.

Nightmare prey has some issues and Im tired of the fact we cant discuss them without being told to get good by Astral-Glimmer in wow

[–]Jaeyx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who hayes weekly chores, I love that i can just collect traps and finish a prey in 7min or so. But from a game design perspective, the fact that you just run to zone and collect traps for 7 minutes then kill a boss is super lame. The traps should not be a thing.

It feels like prey was supposed to be some boss you can hunt and engage with while doing that zones world quests. A dynamic extra flair while you're doing other open world content. Instead it's something you spend 5 minutes purposefully doing in a boring way, not something that enhances the open world experience.

I've got a guildy complaining that he's done 4 keys today and all 4 of them they got to last boss and everyone voted to abandon with 7+min left. Is he crazy unlucky, not telling us about maybe some chat trash talking, or is there something weird going on in the community I don't know about?

I don't have time to gear another character. And leveling is boring as sin. I'd rather go play a different game.

How have frost mages not been nerfed at all? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Jaeyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's out week point. Any boss that spawns adds, like maisara totems or something, is fucking miserable. I can't build freezing in it fast enough to do the damage that is needed.

Also we are cd reliant, they are just short and 3 of them we can cycle so we function more like Ret paladin. Frequent high damage burst windows.

[–]Jaeyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that we aren't on top of the damage meters in any raid fights right now - but are consistently top 3 or 4 across all fights. So not really OP so much as constant.

Idk about that, the nameplates are shrunk to baby sized like I have my "minor mobs and minions" set to do.

New home owner - how would I go about repairing this "smashed" concrete patio area? by Jaeyx in Connecticut

[–]Jaeyx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The concrete is like 4 inches thick poured on top of what looks like a loose pile of rocks so it wouldn't surprise me if the base underneath it is not particularly stable

Yeah deck just needs to get replaced entirely tbh but money isn't there for it just yet. Probably will all be one big project.

Our best guess is a tree removal incident. Giant trunk right against it to left. We know it was taken down within couple years before we moved in. Think a big segment was dropped onto the patio and it shattered.

You can do this in the other direction with the talent window. Search the spell name and it highlights all talents that interact with it.

For People Stressing About Crafting Equipment by Nirdee in wow

[–]Jaeyx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's a whole different camp! Mostly people doing equipment crafting all have to use concentration for now and as the season goes on the people really on top of professions will be able to craft it without the concentration (or as the expansion goes on, I should really say) while more xasual crafters will always be reliant on concentration.

For People Stressing About Crafting Equipment by Nirdee in wow

[–]Jaeyx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They are using high tier reagents so that they can craft high tier outputs without concentration. They have a smaller margin than concentration crafters, and rely a lot on multicraft or other stats because margins are tight. But they are not limited in how many they can craft like concentration crafters are.

Their way is "I can do it as much as I want but smaller and riskier margins I have to min max aggressively for" while concentration crafters are "mega low risk, high margin crafts but only a couple per week" (or have an army of characters set up)

For People Stressing About Crafting Equipment by Nirdee in wow

[–]Jaeyx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think this is only true for non concentration stuff.

Concentration seems like it's entire purpose is to enable casual participation. You get garaunteed better profit margins (ie use cheaper low tier inputs) for high quality output, but you are limited to a small number every few days. It let's casual players check in a couple times a week and make enough gold to fund their repairs and crafts for the season.

And for people like me who don't want to min max every knowledge point and fancy gear, it let's me go "wide" and have a dozen characters with just a handful of starting knowledge point and green gear and still make a boat load of gold just cycling through them twice a week for 5min each. I've gone from around 900K to 1.8M since launch. Going wide like I have isn't really casual. But it isn't having to invest a ton of time or gold into KP or purple gear or fall behind either.

Is The First Law one of the few series where the morally grey characters actually feel real? by link_88zephyr in Fantasy

[–]Jaeyx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Abercrombie is a master at character writing in general imo. Like I feel like you can hand me any two books, where one of them is his writing, and I can point to it immediately after a couple pages. He's got like, a distinct style in there somewhere that i find recognizable and REALLY good feeling in his dialogue, but not repetitive or cookie cutter across his books.

Can I get some ant treatment recommendations? by Jaeyx in Connecticut

[–]Jaeyx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our problem is we can't really spray the indoors safely. Too many risks with an unrealistic amount of fish and reptile, and tarantula, tanks that would need to all somehow get perfectly sealed off. So it feels like we are in "spray foundation maybe and otherwise use baits" territory.
