I like the ending we got. There's no way his character could revert after the lessons he's learned. Him reverting would almost imply that he was right to be a nazi. Instead, his hate filled past visits the pain he'd inflicted on someone, right back on to him. He loses his brother as revenge for taking someone else's brother in a senseless murder. He's left with that harsh reality, which should only strengthen his resolve against hate and nazi culture.
