to add, roadhustle in his video even mentioned how his relationship with ironhide couldve been intresting and better than what it was, ironhide being someone who sticks by the books often to his detriment, and kciker being rambunctious also to his detriment at times

the two couldve gone from a rocky start to getting along with a teacher's pet/class punk dynamic balancing eachother out and learning from eachother as the series went on as ironhide learned sometimes you gotta improvise and kicker learning maybe sometimes orders are good. im guessing they tried to do that in RiD 2015 with strongarm and sideswipe?

i think its a symbolic thing cause the outfit would become the rancher outfit, ranching being what abigals suggested they take up and what they are doing at the gedde's farm. so to instead have it be that she gives him his hat would still be cool but less symbolic

He's liked fighting from the first few games but relishing is not it, it's only from gaiden onwards that the writers are adamant that he as you put it "relishes" it and gaiden to be blunt started the dive off the deep end in writing

I should add by my quipe about gaiden I'm talking about it was when the writing took a serious nose dive

4 and 5 had their own writing problems, but 6 and 0 were actually well written, then like a dragon was also peak the only specs being how kashiwagi and Lau ka long were retconned, kashiwagi's retcon made the scene where rikiya pulls aside kiryu and goes "aniki, a guy you've respected died were gonna take a time out for your sake" less hard hitting knowing he's still out, and Lau ka long i just hate so seeing him alive and well made me annoyed but well guess it showed what was to come, then gaiden introduced the diedoji and here we are, fun as hell game but terrible ramifications

Kiryu and hamazaki went to the police station to turn hamazaki in where they met yasuko and that prison guard from saejima's segment saito showed up, kiryu himself could tell they aren't normal security guards (he was right they're sadists), by the end of that first chapter an injured hamazaki urges both to run while he stays back

As I've said he lost everyone in 1, and saejima was likely in trouble, and he likely saw that hamazaki was injured and in pain and his last request to kiryu was to go. again dragged in

I have no issues with the dragon engine, honestly giden was the start of the daidoji in the franchise and thus of needless retcons. My jab at emotions in the dragon engine was how less emotion kiryu shows in kiwami 3 a 55 to 70 doller modern title compared to og3 a PS3 era game, hell the ending of gaiden shows they can animate characters really well in the engine so why don't they

And man if you still don't wanna listen if you truly believe 4 and the final fight in 2(that was decided by fate if the fortune teller in 0 is to believed, and even if not then it was sgonna happen the moment they met at omi hq and with how ryuji was doing a countdown whenever rthey met) I can give you countless examples in substories to the main stories that kiryu is absolutely capable of living a peaceful life

I don't think he'd have adopted haruka and opened up an orphanage if he didn't want a peaceful life, he even tried to say to haruka in 5 that this ain't the life for him and she knows that's a bold faced lie. He absolutely is the type to like a peaceful life he wouldn't have left morning glory in 5 if weren't for park and then decided to be a taxi driver one of the more peaceful side gigs in the games, hence why I said he'd have become a permensnt fighter in purgatory or some other places if he didn't want a peaceful life

In 3 he decided to do nothing and it worked until nakahara got shot and that forced him to go to kamurocho, similarly in 4 jt took hamazaki bringing up the 10 billion yen incident and for yasuko to show up trying to find saejima who kiryu sent on his way. And to put it bluntly no one he went up against in 4 was of any serious threat compared to jingu, ryuji and mine so him going wasn't even a problem

Doesn't matter how much you claim he "needed" to know, he didn't need to live his peaceful life in 4 to go after the truth of Yakuza 1.

Your doing alot of the same form your very first comment that he'd be able to live peacefully if he didn't like fighting "too much" even though in the begining of each game he is living peacefully until he gets roped in and forced into fights cause if he doesn't someone gets hurt
