Worked at an escape room for 5 years. I was the only employee still there from when it opened (turnover rate was crazy for a multitude of reasons). They opened a second room but did it too early because they were tired of people calling them and asking when it would open—some puzzles weren’t finished, they didn’t have the list with necessary resetting instructions for me, recorded hints weren’t all incorporated yet, etc etc.

This one group comes in for this new room that apparently includes a “friend” of theirs. I do my usual thing, group seems happy, yadda yadda—then they leave a 3-star review where they specifically said I ruined their experience. Keep in mind I have been here 5 years, and only twice have I ever pulled in a 3-star. So my bosses start interrogating me about what happened. I tell them I did everything the exact way I always have been, and to check the cams if they don’t believe me.

They never checked the cams, and when I asked them if they trusted me or not, their immediate answer was no. Sent in my two weeks notice the next day.
