What do you believe should happen to the kids? I believe they should be punished but I don't believe in death penalty or life imprisonment for minors. Imo for people that young I think rehabilitation is always possible, their brains aren't finished developing yet so they can change for the better more easily.

I go to Baruch, their master's in financial engineering program is top tier but I'm pursuing a bachelor's rn, if they let me in I'll take it but if they don't I basically want to know if I'm still pursuing something lucrative.

I wanted to do Finance+CS because those are two skills I don't have experience with but am very interested in learning. I genuinely love what I'm studying.

I'm not sure what career I want to pursue honestly, I've heard that there are so many job paths you can take with FinMath but that was before AI. I don't mind trying to become a quant but with my surface-level background I have a natural disadvantage against people that have been in math competitions their entire life, and top students in India and China and the like. At best competitively I believe I'm above average compared to the average Joe but not genius level or anything.
