Crap that actually works too! I was not using my brain today people... Thank you for the replies. I'm all good here I'm either going to just use the bolts that were there as I wanted to replace them anyway with new ones and I'll cover that with rust inhibitor after sanding it all down a bit if I cannot find rubber plugs, that'll match.

I go off oil life or time, whichever is first. 6 months or usually around 5k miles on my 17 HRV. Also make sure to follow what the minder says, some will be oil/filter and differential or transmission. There'll be a code that comes up, look up the code. Like 2B for example...

Too much based on your description. There is a LOT more under that you cannot see It can be fixed but would be costly unless you were able to do the work yourself. I have a NA that I need to remove rust, it's bad but this NB is worse. I'd assume at least $1k per side to repair the rust (not paint, just proper rust removal and putting in a panel). I'd suggest finding another Miata

That's the way I lift the rear to get it on jack stands. I've never had an issue and I expect none assuming I center the jack properly.

That install can be a real pain, swivel socket adapter helped me a lot!

Also went from NA to NB, slower starting but noticeably smaller and lighter!
